Louis is Top 3 ever but his style makes him vulnerable to two different boxing styles: The crowders like Marciano, Dempsey and the finesse guys like Ali, Tunney, Johnson. Louis could knock Tunney out but my feeling is Tunney could have his number :deal
Thanks for your answers, I agree that prime 1967 Ali may be too quick form Holmes to handle.. i expressed that reserve in the end. I really think Holmes can handle nearly all styles but again, he would probably lose to Joe Frazier and may be KO'ed by Foreman, Tyson and heavy hitters like that. All this is a very subjective exercice.
All fighters have styles they are vulnerable to. The reality is however no finesse boxer ever beat Louis unless you classify Charles as such but he was not. Louis was way past his prime in any event by the time he fought Charles. No crowder ever beat Louis until his last bout vs an all timer in Marciano. The reality is....it would take another all time great to beat prime Louis regardless of boxing style.
I completely agree with you, Louis can only be beat by a prime great fighter. Sometimes I don't express myself clearly because english isn't my everyday language.
