Is Eddie Hearn the ATG British boxing promoter?

LOL, he has got nothing on Jack Solomons. And lacks the length of domination of both the Duff/Astaire/Levine cartel and indeed the man who did most to destroy that cartel; Frank ******...

 

how much of it is still down to his dad?Surely in the long run the lad won't be as involved as he is now in boxing anyway.......I presume at some stage he takes over the whole empire?

 

Eddie has had it easy though not saying he hasnt done good things, but i mean the thing was handed to him on a big ****ing plate and exclusive tv deal with the biggest sports network in the UK not really hard to make a success of the thing

 

And his ol' man is overseeing everything...

 

Agree to an extent but he could have continued with the boxing status quo of Friday Fight Night.

He's not god's gift to promoting like some have him but he's the best thing that's happened to British boxing in a fair while. Actually wants to make the big fights, put records on the line and doesn't sue anyone for farting.

 

I actually dont think he makes the big fights as much as people seem to say, i mean still Brook has fought nothing of note after 30 fights, could have got something better then senchenko but didn't, Bellew has fought nobodies since singing with Hearn, tbh if he stayed with Wa ren he would most likely have gotten another title shot, Listen he makes good fights but i honestly think Frank does aswell, fights he has made, Burns/ Mitchell, Degale/Groves, Chisora has fought several top fighters. I agree Eddie is a better promoter but my point is he has had it so easy and most likely if other promoters where given an exclusive Sky deal they could do what he is doing, easy to promote fights when Sky is hyping them for you

He's doing great and has some good backing and at least he is paying fighters. Hopefully he continues doing well.

 

Bellew is mandatory and is now fighting for a World Title. He did the same for Kell Brook but that went by the wayside for now for whatever reason. I don't think he's done a bad job with Bellew to be honest and whatever problems Kell's had don't appear to be promotional issues, they're either lifestyle or injury issues.

 

Yep getting a world title fight, abroad after how long with Hearn, Frank got him one in his home town ages ago, i'll bet if he was still with FW he would have got a shot earlier and in the UK
