Clev the pleb! thought he was smarter than that!

Said this before this is a perfect example of poor matchmaking, giving the belief of being the best now his confidence is shattered.

 

I try to have sympathy for the kid but there were simply no plusses to take away from that performance,it was shocking.
Apart from the fact he didn't look as though he believed he could win,what were the tactics? Stand in front of a known puncher and get hit?
At the end of the day you're supposed to be a Champion and easy defences aside generally you're going to come up against the best.
It's not surprising though in the modern boxing world where fighters who wouldn't have been even top ten ranked 40 or 50 years ago have a World Title belt round their waist.

 

I said all along that he's technically horrendous and needs a new coach. His defence is to be herky jerky and his arms go up and down. Sometimes he gets lucky and blocks, sometimes he gets hit clean. The reality is that his offence was his defence.

Will need to watch the video to see what everyone is saying about his mental state but the someone needs to tell him that this Cleverly is as bad as he could be technically. Other than clearly working hard in the gym and in the ring, he can only go up technically. That would suggest there is more to achieve in the ring.

I'm glad he lost. His management was disgusting. The sad thing is, he lost in a fight he shouldn't have been in. He should've lost to Hopkins, Shumenov etc It would've been more likely that he avoid a ko and would reveal technical flaws in a far healthier fashion.

 

He's finished to much dmaged ingrained now through his dads training he would have start for scratch new trainer and go away for a year no fights just hard sparring and be re built

 

i agree antony jr i think he needs to spend 12 months in the states

he's 26 year old light heavy, defo not too old to lean new skills and technique

 

People forget there's prospects older than him!!
