Say what you want, but Wlad rarely puts on exciting fights. On the other hand, Haye usually does. And like I said before, Wlad wasn't exactly looking to do anything more than jab, grab, and lean.
I doubt that. Haye vs Fury is going to be exciting one way or another.... either through action or through a good stoppage. Don't see how anyone thinks that fight will be boring.
WTF ? Did you watch the fight ? He lost at least 10 rounds and went down more than Linda Lovelace (RIP). He was absolutely ****ing dreadful ! No, lad, that was supposed to be THEE performance of his HW career. That was the one he talked up. That was the one that mattered. Not the one to come up short on, with a glass toe. :yep
Yeah, he didn't just run all night. He was throwing himself on the canvas so often that the ref had to start penalizing him for a knockdown to try to get him to stay on his feet.
well said. hyped this fight for 3 years by mud slinging and making severed head t shirts and he "came up short". :rofl i would be embarrassed to defend Haye ever again after that embarrassing showing on the world stage. he absolutely choked and was scared to take wlads title
had he not talked **** for 3 years, claim to leave him in a pool of blood in the ring, bring excitement to a dead heavyweight division, call the klits boring robots, make fun of their past opponents not coming to fight ect..... had not all that been muttered daily for 36 months maybe his looking 11 of 12 rounds wouldnt seem so bad..you're right
:rofl If you only knew how stupid that post was Im from the US, Im a huge Wlad fan, was rooting for him during the fight, and would root for him in a rematch. Im just calling it the way it is.
That really doesn't have anything to do with it. People get way too emotional on this and start bringing outside contexts into judging a fight and a performance. What matters, is the 36 minutes he spent in the ring with Wlad. And if you actually looked at what transpired in the ring, given just how good Wlad is at this time in his career, and how amped Wlad was for the fight, David Haye really didn't do all that bad. Beliefs like 'Haye embarrassed himself in the Wlad fight' get larger and larger as people keep repeating it. Happens all the time in boxing with various opinions. I would love for someone who truly thinks Haye fought poorly in that fight, to go watch that fight again with some objectivity, put their emotional feelings against Haye aside and really look at whats going on in the ring, and Id be surprised (or not I suppose) to find someone that really thinks Haye was as bad as the **** he gets for it suggests. Theres not a handful of fighters in the world that could have done better then Haye that night. And that's the truth. Let alone him being a former cruiser.
Meh... I rewatched it about a week and a half ago (which is actually when I realized Haye did better then is getting remembered). Wlads had worse fights by far. As has Haye.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................let's see, Haye kept falling down on the canvas, holding on to Vlad's legs, running, simply not fighting at all, then blamed it on his toe..........LOL! Haye did nothing against Vlad except make a damned fool of himself...........Haye broke a signed contract with Vlad before that, it took a long time to get Haye into the ring. He also broke an implied contract with Vitali.............Haye was knocked out by a cruiserweight and stopped by Solis in the amateurs!
