Just Watched Matthysse Vs. Ajose fight on Showtime Extreme!!!

    Ajose was an undefeated fighter from Nigeria who with 30 wins, no losses, never had been knocked down or even staggered, WBC ranked #1 for four years. He had a rock chin, very fast, fantastic stamina, in fantastic shape, good power, and, as reported he had been avoided by everyone for that four years. Finally, Ajose gets a fight with Matthysse. I can't believe all the punches Matthysse threw for 10 rounds before knocking Ajose out. He staggered Ajose over and over again! Matthysse is not just a big puncher, he can box, up and down, body, head, good defense, and really fantastic stamina!!! He wasn't even breathing hard at the end of the fight, nor for the interview!!! Ajose fought back as well, he threw a ton of punches, yet it did no good. Whatever, I watched that fight on Showtime Extreme tonight, it will also be shown several more times this month. I am also recording some of Garcia's fights, esp. his fight with Judah and Morales. I think they will be on Showtime Extreme as well and some other channel. I think they appear to be promoting the big fight, of course. I will probably buy the fight for $75, not for the Alvarez/Void fight, but for the Matthysse/Garcia fight. I like both fighters, but I can't resist this fight for any price. Damn, it should be really good, worth the money, which Alvarez/Void fight will probably be boring, although I have a feeling it could be a good one, but have lots of doubts. They were smart putting this fight on the undercard, but it really should have been a main evet of it's own. I assume that almost everyone has seen the Matthysse/Ajose fight, but it's worth watching again. I remember seeing it live. Matthysse was not hit very often because of his defense, but when he did get hit he didn't even blink his eyes. I can see why Ajose was avoided for four long years!

    I remember thinking just how tough Ajose was, but also how mean and ferocious Lucas is when he is fighting.
    Lucas enjoys fighting and you can see it in his demeanour in the ring.

    Ajose was a eurobum that had zero issues touching Matthysse, he'll be in for a rude awakening if he let Garcia hit him almost 200 times, there has been a reason LM has faced not one puncher as a pro...............................

    Ajose was a tough SOB... I thought he was done by the 5th round but somehow he held on in there... brutal.

    Somebody any body, 140 has loaded for years, and hes been touted as top 3 in that division for like 3 years now, no Ortiz, Bradley Maidiana( who whipped his ass 3x times in the ams), Khan, Garcia, Holt, no Morales, but he sure to fight the Priotti, Dallas and Ajose of the worlds, keep being blinded by the smoke and mirrors................:good

    LOL @ Bradley on your list. This coming from a guy who likes Bradley. Peterson, Judah and Alexander hit every bit as hard as Khan or Bradley do. This place gets dumber by the day. :patsch

    I like Bradley thats it, Matthysse the big bad puncher lost to a quitter in Alexander, Bradley was able to break his will with his feathers that should let it be known that thier is levels to this...................



    And please dont mention Peterson and this discussion, he needed all type of ****ery to squeak by Khan who made him touch the canvas twice


    Bottom line is Matthysse has fought nobodies, while Garcia has been stacking bodies making a name for himself

    This is so ****ing stupid it's hilarious. Judah, Peterson and Alexander, vs Morales @ 140 (twice) Judah (two years later) and Khan. ? One guy has fought nobody and the other is fighting incredible comp? You are just a hater plain and simple and have no objectivity. GTFO here and die in a fire.

    Name me one good fighter Ajose beat prior to facing Matthysse? A good chin doesn't automatically make you a good fighter. Ajose belongs at the European level.

    The problem I see for Danny Garcia in this fight is that Matthyse is not some crude puncher like they seem to think. He is a better puncher and boxer than Danny more durable and a better ring general. It's no secret that it was Garcia I wanted Ajose to fight for the WBC title but instead got Matthyse who proved to be even better than I thought which believe me is difficult as I rated him highly. I think his destruction of Peterson has opened more eyes. Garcia is a good and improving fighter whereas Matthyse is special. He reminds me of Duran.

    What Ajose did was expose some of the myths surrounding Lucas. Don't get me wrong now. Lucas has good skills and power but he is not the monster that a lot of people make him out to be. He is very beatable and I think that Danny has the skills and chin to make it happen.
