Anderson Silva is a huge fan of boxing, and American boxers. He respects martial arts and the sport of boxing as well. I don't know for sure, but I'd wager that he WAS a huge fan of Floyd Mayweather also. I agree with the above comments about that interview with Floyd, where he claimed he didn't know who Anderson was, when asked about him.

Floyd undeniably deserves respect from not only all boxers, but all athletes. By deserves respect, I mean IN BOXING. But so does Anderson. They disrespected each other. But it seems to me that Floyd did it first, because he generally doesn't give a **** about Anderson. I think Anderson was actually hurt by Floyds comments, and is only disrespecting him out of pride.

And for anyone saying Anderson has a glass jaw, can't judge range, or anything else. I think those comments should be delayed until after the rematch. Anderson was clowning around, he was WAY over-confident and under-estimated Weidman far too much. IMHO. If you watch other times, like in the Okami and Chael rematch, or the Henderson and Belfort fights, Anderson appears to be 100% focused, even during the times when he is dropping his hands. In this fight, I didn't see the focus in his face. It looked like he was "toying" with Chris, not "baiting" him. There is a difference.

Henderson - All time great and Pride Middleweight & Lt Heavyweight Champ. Who went on to beat Shogun and Fedor after losing to Silva.

Belfort - All time great, and hasn't lost to anyone but Silva and Jones in the past in the past 6 years, and his losses before that were to Henderson, Overeem, Couture, Ortiz, Liddel and Sakuraba.

Franklin X2 - At that point, nobody had ever beaten him at Middleweight and was the current champion.

Sonnen X2 - Just finished Shogun. Is probably one of the toughest Middleweights to beat in the past decade, and still today one of the top 3 middleweights in the world.

Marquart, Okami , Griffin, Bonnar...and the list goes on.

I'm a huge fan of GSP, and his resume is ridiculous. But his only finishes in the past in the past 7 years are against Matt Hughes, BJ Penn and Matt Serra. 2 of those guys are natural lightweights, and both could've even made 145lbs in their prime.
