Please tell Ricky to ditch the Pitbull nonsense and come out to the old hardcore classics. Really looking forward to this one. Been to many a fight including Calzaghe Kessler and the atmosphere and performance at the Burns Mitchell at the SECC is up there with anything I have witnessed. Crowd was electric that night and very few predicted the stoppage. The same kinda night again I hope. Best of luck to Ricky, should be a top night.
You will see a different Burns because he is not fighting the same bloke as last time. Very impressed with Gonzalez and if he manages to come back from last time out and learn from it, I have no doubt he would beat Burns. I like Ricky, but I just think Gonzalez is wrong for him and takes away his own strengths.
If we ever fought Gonzalez again it would be a completely diffrent Ricky Burns, same result more pleasing on the eye
BELTRAN vs BURNS has had absolutely no marketing at all, infact NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT! Under Frank, Burns went from a nobody to a 2 weight world champion and star in Scotland in a couple of years. If he would have stayed with Frank he would have got the big fights against Vasquez and Gamboa on HBO. With Hearn, Burns has gone backwards...fought a nobody from PR in a half empty arena in Scotland and no one is interested in the Beltran fight either and ticket sales have been poor. Next up is probably another nobody in Crolla and then Hearns will CASH OUT on Burns sending him over to America to be a Sacrificial lamb to get slaughtered by Terence Crawford.
