billy you really did get out of jail in that fight.burns showed great courage to overcome but had gonsalez not punched himself out ricky was losing the title.

 

by the way,the public would love to see that fight again but i think gonsalez will be top of the fighters nobody wants to fight league.

 

jim I'm well aware we were losing the fight BUT a world title is fought over 12 rounds and that's what Ricky trains for

 

there other fights out there after this Beltran fight

Interesting to read today (Ring TV article) that Eddie now mentions Crolla v Mitchell as a possible fight on the Groves v Froch undercard.

Lets hope that puts an end to the Crolla Burns pish.

But how is it a joke for someone to say they thought the tactics were wrong against Gonzalez? Ricky lost almost every round because he didn't fight to the right gameplan so obviously the tactics were wrong? Or as if you say he over trained then who's fault is that?

But personally I think you underestimated Gonzalez and didn't realise how good he was as Ricky just couldn't get his jab going and was being outboxed. Fair play he showed the heart of a champion and ground out the win, but to call it a joke that someone disagrees with you on the gameplan for that fight is a joke in itself. Are you saying you would use those same tactics again? The answer is obviously no, so the tactics were wrong surely?

 

well to be honest mate I dont and to be perfectly honest I don't really care what anyone thinks,through no fault of Ricky's did he overtrain he had fights cancelled on him twice and that simply the reason,no way would I underestimate any fighter let alone world level and mandatory are you mad?
again you jump on one average performance and blame it on tactics lol
What about great wins versus Mitchell,Moses,katsitas or martinezwould you say my tactics were **** there?
again it doesn't matter what you think,it matters what ricky and I think hence 21/21
