since when did guys who have a decent shot at winning, think strictly about losing. **** that. its a ***** move if you are scared to fight someone because you might lose. if you think you can win, go in there and kick his ass

That's not scared that's called saving your future, He can gets a decent fights fighting journeyman's for a few bucks in the banks, or get a few bucks and lose your career by fighting a a supposed novice in Loma. That's not scared that's a wise choice, but bad for the fans.

    At least couple of reasons:
    1. Title shot in the next fight.
    2. Being on HBO.

What a joke that Oquendo, now he'll not get either, will be fighting bums in Puerto Rico - that is his future.

spin it however you want. if you refuse to fight someone because you think you might lose, thats being scared. fighting a high profile guy like Lomachenko and winning would do 10 times more for his career than fighting journeymen for a few bucks as you put it. nothing wise about passing on a shot like this.
