  1. His ring intelligence just gets better with age.

fighting the robert guerreros and victor ortiz's of the world tells you he is smarter as he has gotten older to not fight anyone that can beat him since he got into his 30s

He hasn't looked good in his last few fights to be brutally honest with u all. Against victor Ortiz he got bullied and caught by some dangerous punches, despite the fact that he seemed to be in control. He lost 4 rounds to shot Miguel cotto and got his face busted. Against Guerrero he lost 3 rounds, hurt his hand, and to me, looked alright but nothing spectacular. The signs of an upset are there.
Last time Floyd was in his prime was vs Marquez.

    He's been shot for years

    He's just ducked any threats

Cotto beat him at least 5 rounds

If he does well against Alvarez it would seem he is getting better.
On paper Alvarez is one of the most difficult fights of his career.
    much younger
    15-20lbs heavier
    43-0
    a good well rounder fighter.
Don't get me wrong I don't think Alvarez will win but at least it will be a good win for Floyds legacy

Floyd has the style and ring experience to keep winning, Wlad and Hopkins are other examples of ageing fighters doing very well
