Has Belfast overtaken Wales as the best area for UK fighters. I think it has, and I'm sure Mcguinty would agree with me on this one.
I know Wales in history has produced a lot of the great UK fighters , for such a small population it is incredible.
But I think right now Belfast is the main area for producing UK talent

In the amateurs theres Michael Conlan and Paddy Barnes- both elite boxers.

In the pros leading the pack is Carl Frampton, then there's Brian Magee, Paul Mccloskey, Martin Rogan, Martin Lindsay, Eamonn O'Kane

But then there's so many top undefeated young prospects coming through
Ryan Burnett is one the UK's best young prospects. Then's there's Jamie Conlan, James Tennyson, Anthony Cacace, Alfredo Meli, Matthew Wilton, Daniel McShane, Ray Ginley, Dee Walsh, Paddy Gallagherand more

do you agree that it's the best UK area for producing talent right now??

Is this what this forum has been reduced to, a lot of them fighters aren't even from Belfast.

a pretty bad attempt at trying to goad the Irish nationalists into an argument

Ireland has always, always produced great talent, including, especially even, the province of Ulster(of course the "province of Ulster" isn't exactly "Northern Ireland", but that's a different discussion)

Liverpool have got a lot of talent coming through and the North East in a few years will be doing really good cause they have some top fighters in the amateurs.

Wales, Belfast and Liverpool right now are the main 3
Manchester used to produce a lot but its died down a bit now but it may come back up when Quigg wins the world title,.

  5. Martin rogan being used as an example of Belfast producing the best talent?

former commonwealth champ, beat Audley harrison and Matt Skelton
he's totally past his best, but he's certainly achieved more in boxing than you, all you do is criticize boxers making thousands of posts thinking , you don't even get paid to be on the british forum yet you are here constantly like its your job or something :deal

  8. Bull****

Read my posts,I am always defending boxers on here and am not critical.

My point is that claiming Belfast Is producing great boxing talent and then mentioning rogan is ridiculous, rogans done brilliant and the Skelton fight was a war but come on he isn't an example of a flourishing youth scene.

And try Liverpool,Manchester,Sheffield or London for most active scenes.

Also Belfast is always producing good fighters and is known as a fighting city and has always been.

A number of the fighters you mentioned aren't from Belfast, eamonn o,Kane for one.

There are some holes in your post that's all you don't need to act like a *****.

There is a good scene coming through in London at the moment though there is Audley Harrison and Danny Williams and.....................

  9. Oh and you didn't mention Luke Wilton a very active Belfast talent

i agree, the skelton and harrison fights were 2 of the best domestic heavyweight fights in years.this coming from a man who 1st laced up gloves at 29 yr old.a remarkable achievement by rogan unlike the original poster who probably couldnt work up a good hard-on.
