Same as most ex roid users Reem, Lesnar,Carwin etc, no confidence after they are off them...plus he has looked flabby as since he came off them.

He'd still beat a lot of heavies out there. He's nowhere near A level and probably won't every be again, but the heavies are so weak that he could stick around making money being a gatekeeper for a while yet.

He's a bum but I'd still take him to beat the likes of Rothwell

no way is he a bum

the way hes come back from the knock out losses, and attempted to get back into title contention is admirable.

lesnar couldnt take two beatdowns, mir has had a dozen.

i think a move to bellator might do him good.

Mir is a company man. He wont jump to Bellator. Id imagine uncle Dana would give him a cushy number behind the scenes. He's never fought anywhere else, and to be fair to him, he's never backed down from a challenge.

The man deserves respect massive respect for that.

Mirs biggest chance to win any fight is to slap on surprise submissions while getting the **** kicked out of him on the ground. I can see why he is so annoyed by the stoppage. I think it was a fair stoppage in a way because he went out, but he has been badly hurt/knocked down and then got the win so many times before. Any other fighter I would say it was a very good stoppage but you never know, Mir COULD have subbed Josh when he went in for the kill. If Mir is so shot he starts losing consciousness when he gets tagged during his horrible stand up then he has zero chance of winning any fight, ever. I think with the amount of shows the UFC are putting on now and the big problems they have faced with injuries/pullouts, I think the climate of 2 losses and you're probably getting cut has gone. Mir has a name and lived in Vegas and is a good guy to keep on the roster for any last minute replacement gigs that come up.

Honestly, Mir irritates me, and always has, so I'm glad to see him get beat up most of the time.

That aside, I respect him because he does always man up and has fought the best out there.

I think they should do a Mir/Vera rematch. Just for the hell of it.

Mir a bum? Mir flabby? Holy hell, some real geniuses in here. The dude was a young HW killing machine before he got his bidy smashed by a car broadsiding him on his bike. He came back from the ensuing injury, chemical dependency, and early bad shape to be the first to stop Nogueira and win the title back. He's done real facking well, and will be in the UFC HOF. He came in at his best weight in years for Barnett.

Mir is a badass sumbitch who happens to have a weak chin. Anyone calling him a bum needs to learn about the sport before they foist their ignorance upon the rest of us. Calling him a bum is like calling Floyd Patterson or Jersey Joe bums. Sure, they weren't the most outstanding champions of their time, they were still formidable crushers of men.

Mir is always good to watch, becuase you have that "what if" factor... he can win against anyone and get beat by anyone
