The answer you're looking for is in the Stiverne fight. Arreola could barely breathe after the 3rd round yet still made it the distance. Not only that but he had his moments later in the fight countering Stiverne when he was trapped against the ropes.
Arreola brings a combination of grit and experience that will be hard for a fighter like Seth Mitchell to deal with. Throw in the fact that Chris looks like he's in the best shape of his career and you've got odds that are correctly in Arreola's favor.
Of course, anything can still happen but the odds seem correct based on any and all data that is applicable to this matchup.

Your probably looking into the Banks rematch too much

Banks had him hurt and shouldve stopped him but didnt he stopped throwing

How do you have someone out on their feet and the bell saves them then not throw any hard punches for the rest of the fight

Banks made Mitchell look good it shoulda been an exact repeat of the first one, Arreola will destroy him in 3 Mitchell wont see the 4th

The oddsmakers are probably waiting to see how Arreola looks at the weigh-in.

  4. Yeah I don't know wtf Banks was doing. Wasn't there a thread on here that said he took a payment from good old Al before the fight?

That fight was the most obvious "non-scorecard" fix I've ever seen. I wonder how much Banks got paid under the table?

The bookies made a killing on that fight, which raises the question: Will they also get to Arreola? My feeling is that Arreola probably thinks he still has a legitimate shot at the title, whereas Banks knew his days were numbered, so it will be a harder fight to fix.

Still, never bet real money on this sport. If you do, you get what you deserve.

Two European books have Arreola at -600 & -700

Sucks, I was hoping for something more decent as Mitchell is at least coming off a win.

Im convinced it was dodgy, he coulda literally won the fight any round he chose

Funniest thing is my mate who never watches boxing came to my house to watch it and he had money on Banks KO i was telling him for weeks its the easiest money you'll make even showed him the first fight

Then finally Banks rocks Miitchell we standing up cheering and **** then Banks just does nothing

From about round 8 it was obvious Banks wasnt gonna punch again, there was just an awkard silence lol

I just can't imagine Mitchell beating Arreola, but I can imagine Arreola knocking out Mitchell.............but you never know it boxing. Will Arreola even bother to train for this fight?

Basing the prediction on Arreola's and Mitchell's potentials and careers, there is simply no way Arreola wouldn't win that fight, or be the large favourite.
But the last Mitchell's fight has been another disgrace to boxing world, having been a fixed fight.
Banks was on the verge of knoccking out Mitchell, again, when he choosed to throw only jabs.
He was hurting Mitchell with jabs alone!
So he slowed down the pace of the fight even more, even if he wasn't tired or gassed, or hurt, at all.
That fight has been fixed, even a child could have seen it.

And then, rumors about Wilder, the great hype job, willing to face the winner of Arreola/Mitchell starts spreading around.
So it could be even possible that Mitchell has been given the won to face Arreola, another american fighter with nothing to lose, to be given a fixed victory, again, just to face Wilder, get destroyed in less than 1 round, and feeds the hype and his ranking to the point Wilder will have his big, last, payday and his first and only titleshot.

Anyway, in any case, there is a really strong possibility that Arreola/Mitchell fight will be fixed exactly like Mitchell/Banks has been.
For that reason, i'll stay away from betting on that fight, because everything says Arreola would win via easy ko, but just like in the Banks fight, you will find yourself losing a lot on moneys just following what seems the inevitable outcome.

    Good conspiracy theory.

I've always thought that all pro sports (1on1 like boxing or team sports) are about 20% like pro wrestling. It's the idea, not that 20% is some "exact" number. Bottom line - sports is part of the entertainment business.

And in boxing there are too many iffy decisions. In some fights the losing fighter may not have been paid off to throw the fight. If the ref and/or judges favor one fighter, in a competitive fight w/many close rounds, the favored fighter will win almost every time. I'm not suggesting that most fights or team sports games outcomes are fixed. I'm suggesting that some are tilted in a certain direction.

I haven't seen the 2nd Banks-Mitchel fight, but too many are wondering that something looked fishy in that one :huh

i cant see arreola taking the fix becasue the fight is in california. mexicans are prideful people and if chris was going to take a payout it wouldnt be in his homestate.

i do think that if it goes to the cards mitchell will win because of the gbp judges.

gooosen probably knows what he has in arreola, which is not much, and probably has already thrown in the towel on chris.

Still no odds I can find on this fight outside of some UK books. Bet365 clearly made the UK market and the others are just exchanging with them. -600 vs 400 for Bet365 and everyone else in the UK is at -700 vs 400 or -600 vs 350, so it's pretty obvious what's going on there.

So Vegas and a lot of books are waiting. For weigh ins? Who knows.
