Arreola and Mitchell aren't exactly the cream of the crop in the HW division. If they were talking about matching Wilder up with one of the Klits, or even Haye, then you would have a good point. Arreola or Mitchell would be a good test to see where Wilder is at as a fighter.
I want to see him with Tony Thompson - that would be a good test for him. I see Tony Thompson taking his big shots and then schooling him badly on the craft of boxing. The only reason I see for Wilder not stepping up is that he is not confident in himself and that is why he just fights only old and never-should'ev-beens.
I think a fight with Wach would be good since Wach has a good chin but won't really threaten Wilder.. He will put Wilder to the test in the later rounds - then we can see if Wilder has good conditioning. I would expect Wilder to win simply by outworking Wach. If he wins that, then bring on Chisora. That would be a good fight.
wilder beats the sh** out of areola, mitchell, thompson.he would blow out areola in 2 short rounds but thats not gonna happen because mitchell's gonna woop that a**.no way in hell does mitchell fight wilder.NO WAY IN HELL! you got to remember theres not a whole hell of alot of guys lining up to fight wilder.lets not pretend so
If Dustin Nichols and Harold Scoiners can put down Wilder, he should probably call himself a hearse in advance. I just hate this ******ed confirmation bias logic. You were/are probably a Hayelord too: "If Sanders can put him down, Haye will..."
Wilder definitely needs someone who can take him more than a few rounds. He's never been more than 4 rounds who knows if he has the stamina to go much further or if he'll be like Price and gas if his opponent doesn't fold in a few rounds. Guys like Thompson, Arreola and Chisora while durable are too dangerous at the moment, it would be a recipe for disaster to jump up to that level at this moment in time. I think Kevin Johnson would be a good opponent for Wilder. He's clearly durable but has shown against Vitali and Fury that his lack of mobility greatly effects his work rate against tall opponents who can keep him at range. He becomes a durable punch bag against a tall opponent who boxes so I think would be a safe opponent to take Wilder some much needed rounds.
Give him Price it would test his chin but it could go either way. For rounds get him ruslan chaveg, I don't think he has fought in a while but tough and skilled enough to make a fight, dominic Quinn could do some rounds as well. After a win like that maybe Ademek.
