How can people dislike Tim Bradley?

I forget who said this on here but it was so funny I shall try to get it correct.

It's business, he ducked khan from around a mill to fight pacquiao for 3-4 mill.. it's common sense.. i guess you could argue if he fought khan and beat him then he'd be able to claim a tad higher % or the purse but hey he did what he did... I think tim has to much will to win against khan, he can adapt to any style too.. i wouldn't say khans much faster than devon, if at all.. and he beat him so khans only weapon wouldn't be a big deal for tim.

 

He is a nice stand up guy, the problem with Bradley is his awful headbut style

 

when do you ever see a fighter do that though? he wanted the rematch, he probably knows he lost but he can't say 'yer i lost here's your belt back' then he don't get no rematch and no MONEY. (he didn't anyways but it's what he wanted...)

 

what is common sense is to realise that a khan fight would have been in 2011 but the pacman fight was going to be in 2012. There is no clash of timetable.

Brad could have taken both fights, make more money than any route you propose, but he didn't, and that must be to avoid a defeat, or else there is no reason not to. He is a duck artist, and currently a paper champion but nevertheless a spirited one once in the ring as he showed recently.

I have definitely noticed a change in his demeanor from prior to Pac and Ruslan fights, to how he is now. He seems more humble and not so egotistic. Watch the 24/7 of Pac vs Bradley and see how he acts.

 

Real aficionados of the Sweet Science have major respect for Bradley, just read what JMM has said about him.

Bradley deserves a lot of respect. Aside from Khan, dude has fought everyone put in front of him, fought like a warrior, and the dude has done it all without being an ass or a prima donna about it. And unlike some, I don't fault him for not fighting Khan because he was being set on a course to fight Pacquiao, who is a much more dangerous fight than Khan.

Bradley does a lot of things that make me say "That's what is right with boxing." About the only thing that sours him a bit is that his style can make good fights get ugly. Yeah, he benefited from a robbery against Pac and an extremely close decision against Provodnikov where he was just trying to make it to the finish, but that's not his fault. Bad or questionable decisions happen, and whether it's because judges are blind or promoters are greasing palms, the fighters have nothing to do with that.

So far as I'm concerned, mad props for Bradley.

Ive got to believe that business was the reason he didn't fight Khan.Just look at the beasts he has,and is about to,fight.Im British and quite proud of Khan,but he's not exactly the most avoided fighter in the division.I bet they're forming a queue.If Bradley was British he'd be looked on like Carl Froch is with the people he has beat.Also if he was an American heavyweight.I thought he lost to Pac,but I believe he'd fight him again,and possibly do better.Thats if all these hard fights haven't already taken their toll,especially the last one,where he showed a champions heart.

Because he doesn't have punching power. That's a big reason for people liking or not liking a fighter. Paulie and Winky were two other fighters who were generally disliked simply because they lacked power. You can put Ward in that category as well, with his talent he should be bigger than Floyd and Pac. Dawson as well.

Then you look at guys like Matthysse and GGG. I'm a fan of GGG but those guys get more credit than they deserve simply because they can punch. Look at guys like Holt or Judah, more fans than their talent deserves. If you're perceived to be a puncher at all then people always think you're a chance, or they think a fight could end any second. People get excited by that, not by a good boxer who can show discipline and heart for 12 rounds.

The Pac decision didn't help Bradley either.

 

Because he has lost two times, but he's treated like if he was unbeaten.
Because in his Paquiao fight he broke both his legs desperately trying to keep the distance from pacman, he barely managed to survive, and yet he got the biggest robbery of the last 3 years.
Because he fights really dirty, and he is currently the biggest headbutter in any division, without the wild use of the headbutts he does, fighters would walk to him and wore him down, that due to his somehow lack of power in spite of being bulked like a small hulk.
His ko percentage is even lower than Maywheater's one.
