I went through the same thing in Australia when a big fight was coming up and I went on the Aussie thread seeking advice where to see the fight. Boxing isn't mainstream over there anymore and I got a load of bum leads, so my advice to you is make sure you get a phone number and call up the establishment first to ensure they are showing the fight, otherwise you will risk missing the fight. Don't believe the hype that its being shown everywhere in Manhattan, cause its not. I'm a New Yorker trust me when I tell you if you don't have a sure thing you will miss the fight.

You are with a woman so my advice to you is go to the theater on Union Square on 14 street you don't want to be in some crowded place jockeying for position and not able to get a good view of the fight. Ozstriker and TCW can vouch for me they are ESB guys I hung out with in Australia. If you get desperate feel free to PM me and I will give you advice and my cell number good luck. I will be watching the fight with my, what you guys call mates and brother at his house in the Bronx,,,good luck

they will be playing it at 850 Broadway New York NY 10003, its in the theater, its 22.00 dollars a ticket starts at 9pm the theater is between 13th and 14th street, next to union Sq park. purchase ticket early on Fandango or on the web, when I used my iphone to get the address there was no phone number but utilize Antwon Max's reply to this thread a couple of post up, good luck guys.

I know what its like to badly want to see the fight and be ****ed in some other Country empathy so here you go.

Well I am from Brooklyn/NJ and have been my entire life. SO my advice is probably the most valid. Another alternative is to find a bar in Hoboken, but I wouldn't want to you to take the Path back past 1am. I don't feel like it's safe. You can however pay $30+ to take a cab back into NYC and your hotel.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

I was looking into seeing it at the cinema (we don't have this in the UK so it's a bit of a novelty) but wasn't sure what the atmosphere would be like. My other concern was that from what I could see they'll just be showing the two big fights and I'd quite like to see the Theophane vs Cano bout as well.

Will definitely be checking out Jimmy's Corner at some stage. I don't think it's too far from my hotel so will pop in there for a few beers.

Thanks for the Smithfield suggestion for the "soccer". I'll be in there Sunday morning to watch a game. The Mrs is going to love this "holiday"!
