I just watched a bunch of Thompson fights, and yes chinny he is, it seems 1 punch in the face is about all it takes.

You can watch most of Thompsons career in about 5 minutes. He usually gets Ko'd quick in the first round.

Well at least the stare down will be interesting... but for anyone who's seen Thomson fight it will be a boring and quick fight.

He ain't that bad??? This is the same guy that got KO'ed in 43 seconds by Butterbean, got KO'ed in 10 seconds by karate practioner Niel Grove, and then got KO'ed in 2 minutes by Bret Rogers in his last 4 fights.

His record is so weird...he beats Frye and Yoshida and loses to Butterbean...it doesn't make sense.

I've picked against Kimbo in every fight so far, but he has decent hand speed and boxing so he's sure to land a few punches and that's all it will take. I don't see what this win gets him in the grand scheme of things.

I'll be rooting for Thompson...but he's probably gonna get Koed again...Only question is if Kimbo will be able to do a quicker job than Alex emelianenko did.

Thompson seems to be like a waste of potential talent. He looks the part...he's huge , physically impressive and yet....

Thompson won't have to bust out his DVDs for this one. Youtube all the way.

Look,..Kimbo has basically just started his MMA career. He has been used to fighting streetfighters with no submission skills, no training and very little overall talent.

He, on the other hand, has a raw talent that is obvious for all to see. Very athletic, quick handed, powerful and intimidating.

That being said...it wouldn't be right to rush him into a match against a seasoned MMA guy just yet.
Thompson is a D+ level MMA fighter,...but he IS an experienced MMA fighter and a step up from his last opponent.

Give the guy time to develop. I know the hype is overbearing at times...but until he has had several fights in MMA...he shouldn't be rushed into a match with a fighter even close to being "worldclass".

another notch in the legitimacy belt?

I'd like to see him versus Aleksander Emelianenko that'd be interesting and a good test.
