    Knocked out a guy in one round who went the distance with Groves and Bugioloni.

    Eubank Jr got him out in four but not in the way smith demolished him

    Did I hear right that he will be fighting Patrick Mendy on the 21st on the Woodhouse/Matthews card?

    Pretty big step up if that's the case.

    Bit of a jump up for him,but he should be able to pull it off.Ive always said that as a family.the Mayweathers were all top notch,but Floyd is the finished article.Maybe at a lower level,the same is true of Callum.All the brothers are good,but it looks like Callum could be a bit special.The comparison with such as Eubanks and Groves performance suggests this,and the step up to Mendy not a silly move,hopefully.

    This is a good risky bout for Callum Smith cause if he wins he will pick up the English title and also could look for a couple of more fights at English title level. I think he really is progressing well. Paul Smith is fighting Luke Blackledge then and if he wins the title out right might go for one last shot at the world level which I don't think he will reach.

    Then Rocky Fielding v Callum Smith for vacant british sounds good to me.

    From what I've seen of Callum Smith he is much better than Rocky, better schooled, better technically, looks a better physical specimen, Smith looks to have all the tools actually.

    If the question is posed right now I go Smith over Rocky

    I think Mendy is too much of a step up right now.

    He needs to be matched carefully and not become another Price.

    Talking bout british title's right now might a bit much, you got to remember it took groves and degale 18 months - 2years to fight for a british title.
