Stiverne has a good chin. His stoppage loss to Demetrius King was very premature. He has never been wobbled or knocked down as a professional. Arreola's beck nose is the main concern. His chin isn't as great as some people are claiming it to be.
I don't just mean the King loss. Although even there, yes he was stopped on his feet and stamina may have played a part but King wobbled him and liquefied his legs and that doesn't reflect well. Stiverne also got stopped a number of times in the amateurs, with headgear. Granted he fought lots of top world rated guys but still. Plus, shot Austin got his respect with shots while boxing his ears off before gassing himself.
To his credit, Stiverne was defending himself and punching back when the referee unjustifiably stopped the fight. It was one of the worst stoppages I've ever seen. Sure, he was stunned for a second or two but let's not forget that King hits like a mule. He threw everything but the kitchen sink at him. Stiverne took his best shots and barely even flinched. Arreola has also shown a little vulnerability in the chin department. As a matter of fact, he's been dropped a couple times thus far in his pro career. My point is Stiverne's chin is just as good, if not better.
People have short memory. Stiverne dominated Arreola last time and it was Stiverne who busted that nose and it was stiverne who knocked him down. I cant believe the support and belief that Arreola gets over here. Such a mediocre fighter who doesnt train and has limited ability. A fat slob with a big mouth.
Nothing has changed. Just Arreola smashed Mitchell's glass chin. It was bound to happen. Next up Deontay Wilder.
arreola has lost to to adamek and stirvien, beatung mitchell not accomplshment any decent heavyweight stops mitchell
Hmm.. I believe Stiverne would've KO'ed Mitchell as soon as he landed a clean shot too. That means he'd probably repeat the same thing Arreola did - break Mitchell's glass in 1. This would be a good rematch, but I'd favor Stiverne to repeat here. He'd probably do better the second time around actually. It's not like Arreola didn't connect on him, because he did.
i could care less to see them fight again, Arreola had the **** beat out of him in the last fight...not sure why fight II is even a question.....
Far too soon for this rematch. Have Arreola fight Wilder/Jennings with the winner facing Stiverne for the vacant or interm belt.
