How the hell did Ricky Burns win the WBO belt?

Well, its clear as day as to why he stayed out of Broner's way...He knew what was in store for him.:yep

Nothing against Burns but he's just not that good as to what some British fans were hyping him up to be.

Never thought Burns was anything special myself. No disrespect to him or anything. It was evident in his fight prior to Beltran he is not really in the world class league. His last two outings he's been outboxed and beaten up.

 

Ricky burns has held titles at super feather and lightweight.

Yes his last 2 performances have been poor and he has under performed but he never was a great fighter but more a man who made the most of his limited ability to win fights through grit,a good jab,good defence and a game plan.this has seemingly gone out of the window recently but he isn't finished and in these 2 fights he still beat Jose Gonzalez and a lucky draw against a good raymundo beltran.

He is a good fighter who has achieved a lot so give him respect.

 

Have you been beaten up by a Scotsman in the past and now just hate the country and everything about it? This post is just full of mindless slurrs and insults about a country you have most likely never stepped foot in, and you throw the term 'bum' about far too freely to talk about an athlete who dedicates himself to a sport that you have probably never attempted in your meaningless hate filled life. I suppose you are the most qualified person to label a professional fighter a fraud for fighting ten rounds with such an injury. Clearly you know all about it.

Don't understand your hatred for burns he lost the fight but at least he doesn't come across as a dick like double edge. He probley isn't world class and has struggled in his last couple of fights with the level of opposition but the fact is not many fighters go a full career without losing or performing badly nobody's god. You must really have some personal issues to have so much hatred for somebody you have never met
