Plenty of tough honest boxers havent fought on with those types of injuries though mate, some folded immediately, just give the guy respect

we've seen Burns in a lot of brawls, he can take the heat, but the look of him throughout that fight (and the fact his mouth was hanging open and swelling up) and his comments afterwards saying how badly it was hurting him that he all he could do was try to hold on, he was clearly in tremendous pain that entire fight, not to mention having Beltran constantly punching him on said jaw for ten rounds

Bert Trautmann played in a FA Cup Final (saving penalties as well) with a broken neck. Does that mean footballers should play on if they break their legs?

    Wow!

yes he might indeed be finished, however the body is strong & resilient so after proper recovery time, a couple of months training without sparring he will be good to arrange a fight and start real training. Many great men before him came through as bad & worse and fought out great careers.

it's a good thing he's fighting today and money isn't short, because in past era's with just 24 fights he wouldn't yet be even British champ, never mind world, W B Oh,Oh.

He can get his scan with a plate insitu that won't be a problem.

And to the guy saying his jaw was fractured and not broken, they mean exactly the same thing, fractured is broken.

Respect to Ricky for toughing it out.

A broken jaw in boxing isn't unheard of. Ali broke his jaw and fought on.

Is Eddie getting into amateur dramatics as well as the darker arts of the sport?

Ricky Burns will fight again, says manager Alex Morrison

Ricky Burns says he will definitely fight again despite breaking a jaw in his world title defence on Saturday, according to his manager.
The WBO lightweight champion is due out of hospital later following surgery.

Eddie went to a top private school he talks with a posh accent but puts on this common accent to blend in with the fighters and fight fans in truth he's a con man trying to mug fighters and fans off ,have you seen the way he looks at Kugan.
