I love how Sir Jim is unashamedly biased for our fighters. Better than those yank fcks being biased for whoever the network wants to win isn't it? Beltran was quite happy to let Burns hold by the by. Most of the time Burns had him by the shoulders, Beltran made no effort to work inside. Ref was quite rightly allowing Beltran the opportunity but he seemed clueless when he got up close to Burns. The way he kept pausing when he had Burns on the ropes - I found it a bit strange, almost as if he was letting Ricky off the hook...
I've heard some shite on here today.... Burns was ****ing clinging on for dear life. The ref was shocking... and you're chatting shite.
Well he had Beltran winning and said he was generous to Ricky with his 113-115 card! He also had him well down vs Gonzalez too so that's what you call fair, not biased. He also said Ricky was lucky not to have points deducted for holding.
He also said Burns was performing shite because his bird was preggo. :rofl And not once did he call for the ref to pull Burns up, Jim Watt is biased as fvck.
He had done an interview with Burns in the week leading up to the fight.Could it be possible that Ricky had told him off camera that becoming a father and having a pregnant bird had a pretty big effect on him. It has a pretty big effect on most people. But it's not an excuse, not for a second, and Watt was probably just wondering if it had had a negative effect on his preparation. And my memory from Saturday is that Jim Watt was on Burns' case all night and kept saying he would lose if he didn't get it together. He said something like,"I hope Ricky gets the decision, but I don't think he done enough" Every country's home commentators are biased towards the home fighter, and Watt is the same for any UK fighter fighting a foreign fighter.
He's like that for the Jock fighters, big difference.. I remember him being biased as **** for the Alex Arthur-Gomez fight, give Gomez no respect in the build up, was funny as **** to hear the old turd go quiet as **** when Arthur got smoked. Watt was pleading for Burns to stop doing what he was doing, wasn't like he was just commentating on the fight. Just biased drivel, like the scoring and the interviews after the fight.
Hi Top Dog. Long time. Burns is a nice lad but unfortunately the verdict seems to have caused an uproar! Looking forward to these weekends fights.
Just finished watching the fight again and Jimbo was spot on. Very fair i his analysis He gave every round he could to Burns but i suppose you could make an argument for it, bar the 11th. That was a clear Beltran round.
Sky Sports biased? Never! They are a hype machine, passing off that soccer pansyball nonsense as 'The Greatest Leage in the World' fs. Catch a grip, they need £50 a month or whatever off you so of course they are going to say everything is brilliant, great, the best and that. Watt is just part of the system. They are salesmen, boxing comms are no diff
