in the last 24 hours the esb forums have shown no shortage of professional psychiatrists, nutrionists, sports consultants, contract attorneys and boxing historians.

canelo is going to be perfectly fine today on the scales(he will either weigh 152 or 153 and will make no attempt to shed the weight if over 152) and will be perfectly fine on fight night. if he gasses it will have nothig to do with the weight clause.

Of course it's stupid! Floyd is taunting Canelo with something he has heard his whole life! The fact that he looks "gringo" is probably a push buttton topic for Canelo, that is allowing Mayweather to get into his head.

He'll be fine. He already had his big "test" against Trout to show he was worthy of having a shot at Mayweather. Not saying he'll win, but he'll be okay with the "magnitude" of the event.
Mayweather hasn't put a stoppage victory on anyone since Hatton.

....was because Victor lost it mentally. I am predicting the same sort of mental breakdown for Canelo.

    thats possible

but victor had already shown to be both a quitter and a head case and canelo has yet to display that.

the only thing that canelo has shown to question his character is beating up a 5'3" 110-pound archie solis.

imo, canelo and his camp have been very professional and mature during this whole promotion.

i wouldnt be suprised if floyd tried to do something(ala victor ortiz) to get under canelos skin at the weigh-in. and im sure that gbp and canelos camp have informed alvarez to simply walk away if floyd does.

i do not believe that canelo will implode ala cintron/pw, ortiz/floyd, tyson/holy 2 or zab/floyd as you suggest. if he gets ko'd its because he runs out of gas and does not know how to properly manage his cardio to avoid a stoppage which would happen in the later rounds.

The show is directed and produced by Mayweather. He is just showing certain things so make it seem like he is in his head. Its like how they make reality TV shows... but hey. he is hyping it up i guess.

Yeah, Floyd really surprised Canelo and his team by making him dry down to 152, and then insulting him during the build up.
