If Mayweather deserves no credit because he's fighting Canelo at a catchweight...

catchweight fight are fine for me, it's just you and the rest of your brigades that are looking like fools right now. y'all were so self righteous back then attacking pac and now that floyd is doing it, there's barely any indignation from any of you.

Good objective outlook, man and I agree with you all the way. I just hope this catchweight phenomenon becomes fully exposed as the ***** move that it is and anyone who tries to pull this crap in the future all get the negative perception from the public that they deserve.

There are more than enough weight classes... Trying to gain an advantage before the fight occurs has been around forever ie. psyching out, intimidating your opponent, glove size ring size etc. But trying to manipulate their physical bodies is a step too far IMO. If a fighter A thinks fighter B is too big for him then they should stay in their own weight class, that's it. But trying to weaken your opponent before you step in the ring is a ***** move, no way around it. Pac and Floyd are both equally guilty of this weak ****.

    we know what catchweights do.
They bring out hypocrisy with fighters and fans, but also make fights happen that wouldn't without that option.

My take is that it's allright as long as it's not for a championship.
In this case, the fight wouldn't have happened without it so we have to be glad. only thing is that Floyd already won a belt on the full weight limit, so he clearly wanted an extra edge.

And the same "Pac" stans trying to discredit this fight defended Pacquiao's catchweight fights against Cotto and Margarito and his brutal draining of DLH. Being that I'm not a ****ing hypocrite cheerleader like yourself and that ****** pushthrough, I say they both pulled a ***** move because they did, and no amount of gay finger pointing will change that fact.

    You weak ass *****. :lol::patsch

I agree if you have to drop 15lbs for every fight, that is your fault no excuses later. Either be happy with cutting weight or move up so you don't have to.

Mayweather deserves plenty of credit for taking this fight as he'll likely be about 20 pounds smaller than his opponent. I just think it should be a "non-title bout between two undefeated champions." I don't believe the title should be on the line in a catchweight event. I've always said this.

The fight itself is enough, the belt is worthless in my opinion. Basically, I like the fight and that it's happening. It's a good exciting fight, but the belt shouldn't be on the line IMO.

Any fight held at 147.1 to 154 is considered a Jr MiddleWeight fight.

    Sadly.

Whats funny is, it was all the *****s that had issues with catchweights and said that alot of mannys wins dont deserve credit cos of a catchweight.

Its funny watching them all backtrack.

It was only *****s that hated them and now have to justify this one

If Floyd gets no credit, neither does Saul for facing unranked Welter weight Matthew Hatton for the World title.

These catchweight issues are small in comparison to the Ray Leonard vs Lalonde fight.

Cotto fighting at 145 was no big deal , he wasnt a big welter anyway and often fought at 146.

Canelo also isnt taking much off , I remember he looked pretty good against Rhodes at 153.

Mayweathers a walking contradiction. He said he didn't make no guarantees yet here he is fighting the guy he wouldn't guarantee a Sept 14 date.He fought the best undefeated 154 lb cotto but when trout beat cotto that wasn't the best cotto. He don't do catchweights but hell make an exception for this bout.

I didn't know the belt was on the line. That's complete BS. If Floyd accepts the title (if he wins) then yeah it's a fradulent catchweight title like the many PEDquiao holds. I thought this was just a PPV event between the biggest names right now.
