I don't know, but I just have a funny feeling we will see the best performance of the winter of Floyd's career tomorrow, and have a funny feeling Chepo will pull Canelo out around the tenth,or if he adopts the jab and crowd tactic as everyone seems to think he will,I think he could bump heads with Floyd on the way in and get cut.

I like Canelo too,and whatever happens,he'll be back and around the top of the tree in no more than two and a half years.

    Thoughts and votes please.:good

Nah laddy. Those hands are so brittle. Did you catch the Guerrero after show on All Access? They were a mess.

Canelo would have to be a zombie for that to happen. 10 oz gloves and a huge weight advantage will see him to the final bell.

If Cotto can nearly stop Canelo in the first round...

(No I don't believe Floyd could stop Canelo)

I don't think Canelo has a particularly good resistance to cuts/swelling. Certainly not much better than Cotto.

Floyd really busts up guys faces, and I have no doubt he'll be tagging Canelo more than he did Cotto... Cotto adopted a high guard against Mayweather and still had some pretty serious facial damage going on.

I have a bit of money on Mayweather stoppage 7-12. I'm not sure its going to happen but I don't think it's particularly unlikely either.

People judging him off of the Guerro fight don't seem to get that fighting a southpaw limits your offense, which is why he primarily just used his straight in that match. He'll be throwing a much more varied arsenal of shots against Canelo.

I'm going with the gut here Turbo.
I'm so up for this weekend that I've actually had a couple of dreams about the fights!

Head says no,but I have a nagging feeling and may stick a couple of sheckles on it.

10 oz gloves didn't stop Cotto's face from becoming a mess, mind you.

That's where I am mate and I won't be betting any silly money on it.
I just have this feeling that cuts could be an issue or Chepo may step in.

I can totally appreciate why people are thinking "no" on this though.

No. He'll never score a stoppage again.

Not a KO like the "Sucka Punch" or Hatton stoppage...

But I can see a cut caused by a punch or busted nose putting a hault to a fight giving May the win & vice versa.

    I hear you.

I don't see Canelo being laid out face first or anything ridiculous like that but in my opinion Canelo has one of the worst gas tanks among top level fighters out there. He's been blowing hard after 4 rounds multiple times in his recent career.

Just not going to cut it against Mayweather, who comes on strong and had Cotto hanging on for dear life in the 12th.

I also think that Mayweather is terrified of losing his 0. I think it means as much to him as anything in his life and he's afraid of Suliman, De La Hoya and Golden Boy in general.

If, and when he smells blood, he's going to lay into Canelo.

If he couldn't stop Cotto or Guerrero, there's very little chance he'll stop Canelo.

Absolutely not. I'd be shocked. He couldn't stop Marquez, and had a huge size advantage on him, dropped him, and basically hit him at will. One can argue that he was tentative because of his long layoff. Ok.

But then not stopping Cotto in that last round when he had him hurt? Or putting the foot on the gas and actually painting Guerrero with some combinations to stop him?

I don't care how good, skilled and fast Mayweather is. He is a fighter that needs to hit his opponents with combinations to stop them, and he just doesn't do that anymore. It's similar to what happened to B-Hop late. They have very different styles, but similar in the aspect that they are safety first, rarely throw combinations.

Think about it. Ortiz aside. The last person Floyd stopped was Hatton. And that stoppage was set up by a defensive move, and counter check hook. He didn't create that stoppage with his offense. And he won't start trying to do that here.

If that right hand stays in tact,I don' think it's as outrageous as some may think. And with Canelo being so young,I don't think it's inconceivable for Chepo to save his boy for another day.
But everyone seems to think Canelo will jab and swarm, and I think heads will most definitely butt if he gets over eager.
