I bet £2 on Beltran to beat Burns ( I know big spender)

Just checked my account now and they paid out as if he won. (£9)

They called it a Justice Payout.

    Thought that was pretty cool.

I didn't know this was something gambling companies do.

    Was this with Paddy Power?

I guess it was so obvious that Beltran had won the fight and been robbed that Paddy Power took the opportunity to do the right thing plus get some good publicity out of it too. Doubt they had to hand out more then £10/20,000 and obviously if it was millions they wouldn't have done it.

    Yep, It's about publicity.

They did the same thing by handing out money for the EPL champions before the season was finished, That side ended up losing then.

And they paid out on Stoke to be relegated after they lost in the first game of the season in their first season in the Premier League, they stayed up.

    yes was paddy power.

I suppose with a draw the companies make a fortune so can afford to do something like this.

A draw must be like the green nnumber in roullette

That's true as 90% of the money that was bet on this fight was probably for a Burns win by points or KO so even with paying out on a Beltran win they'll have made a nice little profit from it all.

They had to pay out on the draw. Because the fight was a draw.

Got one with the Pacquiao/Bradley fight. They said they were refunding bets but actually paid me the win.

It's a good indication of how much money was going on Beltran that they consider the loss they will make on this worth the publicity
