I came across an interview Floyd did with *********** back in 2005. He called out Kosta Tszyu, Cory Spinks, Mosley and De La Hoya. The exact day is January 25th 2005.

    Here are some excerpts .

***********: You don't think Gatti presents much of a challenge to you?

Mayweather: Hell no, you saw me do some easy work tonight. When Gatti gets in the ring with me your gonna see more easy work.

***********: Do you think that the fight with Gatti will finally happen?

Mayweather: I've been waiting for this fight to happen for a long time. Either he fights me or I'm the champion.

***********: Has Gatti been your goal since you moved up to 140 pounds?

Mayweather: No, I want Kostya Tszyu. Tszyu is the best fighter in the division and Floyd Mayweather only fights the best.

***********: Why do you think that Tszyu is craving so hard to get in the ring with Gatti, but rarely mentions your name?

Mayweather: He can make easy money with Gatti. Tszyu knows I'm a tough fight, he wants an easy fight with Gatti but if wants to be the best pound for pound then he has to face me

***********: You said that you would go to 147 and fight Shane Mosley or Oscar De La Hoya.

Mayweather: I want to fight the best. Me and Shane can do it anytime. Shane's been ducking me for years. If Oscar wants it I'll bring it Oscar. Me and Oscar can do this. I'll fight the best at 147. Cory Spinks, Mosley, Oscar,....Floyd Mayweather will fight the best fighters out there

He didn't wait to fight De La Hoya, or Mosley. They didnt want to fight him because he wasnt big a draw.

I cant post links so to see the article in full.

    Google: I'll bring to Oscar De La Hoya b o x i n g s c e n e

    Its the 4th link.

Discuss. Did he really duck people, or was he just not a draw?

Give it up man, people will always find a way to say boxers duck each other, they don't understand how much it takes just to get in the ring. Honestly I doubt any boxer is afraid to fight another, its just impossible to fight everyone

Yes, and he handpicks his opponents because he's "concerned about his health." If that doesn't equal ducking I don't know what does. People need to quit riding the guy's nuts.

Just because a fighter saids he will fight someone and wants it doesnt mean he really does, Floyd has ducked a few fights over easier bouts, why did he fight JMM, Ortiz, Baldomir, Brusseles, He took those fights over much harder fights, he wanted no part of Tszyu or ODLH in his prime, he also never wanted the Pac fight to much of a risk

    Floyd Mayweather "i'll fight anyone"

    Behind the scenes management team

"well floyd we want you to do this fight"

Floyd " I just beat who my team put in front of me"

there is such a thing as behind the scenes ducking/avoiding waiting until certain fighters fade more or are in more wars first / look bad
