I don't actually buy the "if its close they'll give it to the kid" argument. When floyd fought Oscar did they give him all the close rounds? Business always goes for the known over the unknown. Floyd mayweather without his 0 is a significant unknown. And Alvarez although he seems like the next big thing, we don't know if he is really the truth? What happens if in a year he out grows the division and has to move to MW, does he beat the guys up there?

Do you know how the public will accept Floyd if he no longer has his 0? Do you know how Floyd will react?

Is there any garuantee that the rematch would be bigger then the first fight? If he got seriously jobbed would Floyd stay in boxing? (think Hagler retiring instead of accepting a rematch).....If Floyd did sign up for a rematch would would his drawing power ever be the same again?

There`s a whole lot of I don`t knows if the judges unfairly give the fight to Canelo. Why not if it is a close fight create a sympathetic character? Why not give it to the old veteran? Does that really harm Canelo moving forward? Losing to LL didn't hurt Vitali, it legitamized him. Mayweather has four fights left. Lets say Canelo narrowly loses but shows everyone he's a great talent by giving Floyd the best fight he's ever had? Canelo takes the loss like a man an everyone knows when Floyd's done Canelo will be the man. That's a story that would sell. Lets say they go that route and two years later they meet again? Canelo beats the old man and rightfully takes his place as boxing's new pound for pound king.....that to me seems like a better and easier story to sell.

Its a win win for everyone involved.

p.s people should note that although we hear all this BS about Canelo being some national mexican hero alot of that is Mexican Media hype. Count howmany mexicans in boxing a predicting Canelo? 0. Canelo's press is more hype then reality. Telavia creates sells an image of a mexican *** symbol. then hey what do you know, the next thing he's doing is dating a former model that (guess what) also happens to work for Telavia. He packs big crowds into stadiums but has to give away 4 tickets for the price of one to do it. He draws 5000 fans to a press conference in Mexico city and the press reports it as 30 000. The guy is a star but he's a well manufactured star. Mexican's can see it and he is not actually at in a place right now where he's considered real enough by the mexican sports fan for him to fill the gap left by floyd. A bogus decision wouldn't help that situation. If you're GBP and you already have the biggest star in boxing and two or three guys that can take over from him when he's done, why force him out the door? Why blow your load too early? You'd be kissing good by to all the money you'd make off floyd while replacing it with something that wouldn't be as profitable and maybe isn't ready to be the same star Floyd is.

It is there, but I don't think it will happen just yet. Why? Because of the contract with Showtime.

ODLH did disappear kind of suddenly though.

Yeah, that was strange. Just couldn't wait a couple more days after playing such a prominent role in the build up. Maybe he'll turn up at the fight cashing his draw bets whilst dressed as a woman!

Its not strange, if a guy's embarrassingly losing his **** wouldn't you want him as far away from a place with all the media coverage as a mega PPV bought? If you were planning on Jobbing floyd wouldn't you want a guy like Oscar to help sell the screw job to the public?

If you're Oscar and you bounce cause you don't want to take the heat after your company is thought to have screwed over the best fighter in boxing, what kind of a man are you to leave a fat swiss guy and a mexican ginger to take the heat for you?

The only reason I can see Oscar bouncing early would be if he legit thought that after a robbery of Floyd, Floyd, Hayemen and everyone would try to kill him. Going undergraound for your own safety would be the only thing I could think of that would make sense if DLH is about to screw over floyd. And how likely is that? Really?

Floyd can generate stupid PPV money, can speak English and has global appeal.

Canelo's lustre will be limited to Spanish speaking Latin American countries and he does not have the proven PPV pedigree just yet.

If Floyd gets robbed its only because they want a mega rematch buf in the end that will hurt Canelo more in terms of legacy.
