Canelo reeked confidence. Canelo must have gotten under Mayweather's skin when Canelo refused to acknowleadge Mayweather was holding a championship belt. Mayweather wanted to dictate at the weighin, "here lets take a picture with this!" Canelo was like, "this is how I take my picture mother****er!!!" The weighin was won by Canelo, but of course the important thing is to win the fight of which Canelo must be feeling good about now. :yep
That definitely rattled Floyd. If canelo can carry this confidence through 12 rounds we could have an interesting result. Problem so many times in the past is that fighters lose their composure against Floyd through frustration, go away from the gameplan and fighting smart and the end result is that they lose by an even wider margin
That may be true, but I'm thinking the Trout fight helped prepare Canelo mentally for Mayweather. Canelo did'nt have all his way vs Trout. The southpaw stance puzzled him some. Yet, he did'nt lose his cool and fought within the gameplan. I think the Trout experience is going to serve a purpose for Canelo to be mentally able to deal with Mayweather. As Canelo has said, "we have several gameplans and not just one. I think Canelo is ready to try different things and keep his calm until something clicks and works. We shall see though.
I see this fight quite similar to Matthysse Garcia fight. If Floyd/Matthysee lose then they are pretty much finished. Whereas a loss for Canelo/Garcia is not the end of the world and they have very redeemable careers ahead of them
