If you on this board, you are obviously a boxing fan.

Tonight is a huge opportunity for the sport we love as many new viewers will be tuning in tonight.

We have our favorites, but it is more important for the sport to have a good, clean fight. No draws, no nonsense, etc...

Lets all cross our fingers and hope for an amazing evening of the fight game. :deal

Lennox, you're a king. Thank you for raising this.

After the Burns fiasco I agree this is a big opportunity for boxing to shine. Let's hope the Vegas judges don't **** up. I trust Kenny to do a great job as the ref, let's hope the judges don't **** things up.

    I really hope so.

    No bullshít decisions.
No WWE referees (it's Bayless so that's covered).
    No suckerpunch KO's.
No "no contests" due to injuries or strange occurrences.
No 9 count KO's, or longcounts.
No cut short or too long rounds.

In short... No funny business :yep

I know we have who we want to win, but this is really one of those times in life where the outcome just needs to be smooth and professional.

They already made a huge mistake with the first two fights on the card....I just hope that ends up being the only oops of the evening.

Millions and millions of people who haven't watched (or never have) boxing will be tuning in tonight.

If this is a home run, it is just a MASSIVE charge for the sport we love.

If you aren't in the states, ESPN is covering the event like no other boxing event before.

Just pray boxing doesn't shoot itself in the foot.

    We need this.

And yes, Bayless is HUGE. Dude doesn't crave the limelight or to be the 3rd fighter.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a draw that....is not a draw. Hope we will see something fair.

I hope it will be a great night, but we already had dubious catchweight demands and even immediate second try to make the weight by Danny, so there's a big chance of someone screwing something up.

True, but the average viewer tonight doesn't know or even understand this.

All they will know or understand is what they see when the bell rings.

It just can't be a clown car pileup.

The coverage of the fight has been unreal here in the States.

    Boxing can't f' this up.

There's no such thing as a suckerpunch KO in boxing. Its a freaking boxing match. Your opponent is supposed to go upside your head. If you drop you hadns and decide to try to hug, that's your own fault.

    Everthing else I agree with.:good

Yes, but the average person doesn't understand that.

It is the main reason why the UFC has plateau'd and actually dropping in ratings...Dana and company do not comprehend how to bring in the general viewer market.

Boxing has it tonight...they can't **** the bed. Boxing has a ton of talent...this needs to be a springboard for the general viewer to take the next step to being a fan.

What vested interest do you have in boxing that makes it so important to you for it to attract a bunch of new fans? As a fight fan, I feel we'd be better off if there were less paying customers so promoters would be forced to put on much better cards to see anything close to the type of money that they're making now. I also couldn't give two shits about the general public's opinion of the sport. I watch it because I like it... Not because someone else does, and if it were more popular I wouldn't enjoy it any more than I do now.
