Anbody else think Canelo 152 catchweight helped him?

My prediction was a 11 round tko for Floyd, but Canelo was game, and I think his conditioning was the best I have seen from him. I didn't start seeing real fatigue from him till the 10 round. In the trout fight I could see him getting tired in the mid-rounds. I think he should always come in the ring 165-168.

It takes a lot out of you to miss shots and force the action 12 rounds, and some how he did it without getting stopped.

I think 172 pound Canelo would of done worse. The guy just doesn't have the footwork or the timing Cotto had so carrying a few more pounds would of just been heavier legs

Unfortunately for him he was fighting the best Floyd since Marquez.

Yes by having to train harder his conditioning was better otherwise he would have been stopped. Cotto is a much better fighter than him. Wonder what happened to Oscar De La Hoya's blue print! Thought Canelo said he was born ready! Clearly he is not the one! This is not what Mexico has been waiting for.

No, obviously no. It didn't help him to have to cut down to 152 or get robbed of his purse. It obviously hurt him.

didn't help his power, but he did land some heavy body shots late. but most 'fans' only count head shots.

his conditioning surprised me, was better then it usually is (imo)

But that could have just been because they were focused and determined to fix his conditioning this fight (and its still not fixed.... though its a lot better)

He was in good condition, but only because he trained hard. Not because he was forced to cut down to make the 152 lb catchweight.

Your not gonna have a chance to beat Floyd when you can only fight 90 seconds per round. Weight wouldn't made any difference. Its the speed and stamina.

If 152 was Canelos optimal weight, he would weigh that much in all his fights.... Do you work for Floyd May weather?

What changed is that there was a catchweight. Both guys held 154 lb titles.
