Was Garcia's KD of Matthysse legit?

Nope, hit him on the back of the head. Matthysse was also halfway out of the ropes which means the ref should have intervened. Had the knockdown not been given Matthysse would have been given the nod on the cards. Even still, Swift deserved the win. He outboxed the sh-- out of Matthysse in some rounds.

 

No, Garcia pushed him to the ropes and took advantage of the situation. Lucas was off balance and strugling to get rid of the ropes. Of course at home referees are forgving.

It's was a cuffing blow push which forced Matthysse to get caught up in the ropes and then Garcia followed with a punch which put Lucas down. Not a knockdown and the ref missed the call on this, infact the ref was a complete failure in this fight after missing countless low-blows by Garcia throughout the fight which helped stop the fight in his favour.

A rematch should definately HAPPEN.

 

Even before the knockdown, garcia was up on the cards as he was systematically dissecting lucas from top to bottom.

I agree the kd wasn't legit, as garcia pushed his head down causing lucas to lose balance and that's when danny took advantage and hit him with three shots.

in real time, live it looked completely legit. Danny turned Lucas around and threw 3 shots, Matthysse went straight down. If I was the ref a KD would be the only choice to make. Lucas went down as if it was a body shot, but I think he really didn't have his feet under him on the ropes.

 

Not what popped out to me. I saw him get tangled up in the ropes and thought Weeks would halt the action, as he had with Garcia earlier. (Not saying there was any otivation behind it, but that's the way happened). When he didn't and Matthysse went down, I was a bit surprised.

The KD was clearly caused by Garcias punches BUT the referee should have stopped the proceedings before that point as Matthyse was stuck between the ropes and could'nt defend himself.


I honestly don't see the point of a rematch as I think the outcome would be the same.


Garcia took Matthyses best punches and if he can't knock you out,Matthyse does'nt have the boxing ability to win on points.He seemed very one dimensional infact.

It was legit... Body shot had Matthysse hurt BEFORE he went to the ropes and took a nice shot to the temple area. I think Danny wins easier if they ever fought again. He has figured Matthysse out and knows he can take his shots.

Danny is simply the stronger fighter. Better power, better combos and a arguably better chin.
