Lets say Toney comes in light, in shape as he can get at heavy.

    Winner?

Lennox is an all time great heavyweight. Toney all time great super middleweight. But the weight and height difference would be too much for Toney in this match up.
I think Lennox jab would be most decisive factor in this match.

So id say Lennox by UD.

The only honor Toney get attain here is going the distance. He'll get ****ed up BAD. No small, 5'9" defensive counter puncher without power is going to beat or even be competitive with Lennox Lewis, ever.

Could his bodywork at least get Lennox's attention?

Can't forget that Toney KO'ed the uber durable Holyfield that way.

Who ever got Lewis' attention with bodywork? And i'm talking about genuine heavyweights who punch a lot harder than Toney.

How often did 5'9" Tua get to reach Lewis' body? And he's aggressive, not a counterpuncher/defensive fighter.

Tua wasn't aggressive Lennox at all, that's the thing.

He was gunshy after tasting Lennox's power.

    Lewis would knock Toney out.

Even if Lewis had no power, his boxing skill would be easily able to beat Toney. Toney can't handle jabbers his own size, much less a 6'5 jabber with an 84 inch reach. This fight would be a one sided ass beating. Toney has nothing to hurt Lewis with. Even on the inside, which is Toney's fight, Lewis would beat him, he'd use that 250 lbs and push the little fat dude around and take his head off with upercuts.

Man this would be hilarious. Toney has never faced anyone near Lewis' calibur. Toney was OUTBOXED by Peter at heavyweight! PETER for gods sake. How do you get outboxed by Peter? KOed maybe, but getting outboxed by Peter is like getting KOed by Mallinaggi. The heavyweight James Toney is merely a decent to bad fighter. Lewis was an all time great fighter.

I think Lewis would stop him,Toney is not really a hard puncher so I dont expect a problem there, Toney may be able to last if he fights a survivers fight but he will touch the canvas

Lewis would walk right through him and knock him out within a round or two.

Lennox would stop him, it would be a hard first four rounds as Toney would slip and slide making Lewis look frustrated, but as Toney got tired and worked over, Lewis would overwealm him like he did Morrison, he would hurt him in flurries and take his desire away , in this instance we just have to look at how flat he looked in the second fight with Peter..

True, but a gunshy Tua is still more aggressive than Toney against heavyweights.

Toney declined fights with both Klitschko brothers on seperate occasions, title shots when he needed them bad, because he knew the inevitability of the outcome. A fight with Lewis would've been no different.

considering how many times vitali backed out of fights in or out of the ring, I wouln't be critisizing toney for not fighting him.

Who the hell postpones a fight 3 times during training, finally sets the fight.......goes through press confernces and then a couple days before the big heavyweight title fight decides to retire???
