i was watching the fight with my brother and we where trying to figure out how exactly you could hit Mayweather, never mind beat him, just hit him.

We came to the conclusion that people that throw straight punches may as well collect their cheque and forfeit the fight before it even starts.

Mayweather positions his stance that makes it nigh on impossible to land a right hand on him. I reckon the only punch you could possibly land is a left hook. (You can see where im going)

Besides "left hook happy" Michael Gomez :rofl the next best man, IMO would be Danny Garcia.

I still dont think Garcia would beat him mind. But if there's anybody that would throw enough looping left hooks that could POSSIBLY even hit Mayweather than Garcia is the man.

Khan would be Ko'd and made to look like a boy against Mayweather. Yes he has wicked handspeed, but his punches are all straight, and Mayweather would easily defend against them. Garcia probably hs the best style to fight Floyd. He doesnt rush forward, he doesnt waste too many pucnhes, can take a punch, and has an excellent left hook.

Great analysis Chris....perhaps if we could clone a Garcia-Khan hybrid we might be on to something!:bbb

Canelo looked like he had no game plan let alone clue what to do in there. In round 7 he finally started stalking Floyd, bit of pressure and Money looked uncomfortable with shots landing on him(arms, body).
Why does nobody look at past close fights e.g Castillo 1, Oscar and notice when you apply educated pressure and keep throwing in bunches mayweather has problems.

Maybe I expect too much from certain fighters but i couldn't believe how stupid Canelo fought last night!

anyway, rant over!! next fight will be Khan by the sounds of his father.

It's a near on certainty that Garcia is next in May. That is why the fight was made a co-feature. Angel will breath new life into 24/7/all access. I don't think he stands much of a chance though. After Garcia, who knows but he'll be contracted for 3 more though there are not many fighters to choose from

After that performance, I would much rather see Floyd versus smaller, faster, more technical, fitter, more co-ordinated small fighters like Pac or Garcia then the gutless show Canelo put on.

Ach don't necessarily think it was gutless but certainly artless.Totally agree with you re type of fighter that may cause Mayweather more problems.......but can't see anyone beating him in near future.

At the moment Bradley would give him the best fight I think. Bradley is fast, tough and he's got a brain. He'll at least give Floyd a rough time of it. If Bradley can get past Marquez, which is a big if granted, that's who I'd like to see.

It's ridiculous to suggest Khan, he's so far off that level it's not even funny. Garcia wouldn't be too bad though.

i debated over a beer with james, the lad who does ifilmlondon videos with kugan kassius, in belfast at weekend...and we talked about mayweathers style and what could beat him...i guessed that the only way i could see was someone with good footwork for a start to keep a distance...a distance like marquez did in pacqauio 3rd fight...just enough to have the opponent reaching with shots, and then counter......it was the only way i could figure that a style could have a chance against mayweather...make him reach with shots, if you can get him to come forward in the first place, counter him..and don't follow him no matter what :)

Why do people believe this idea that Mayweather would fight at Wembley, I don't understand where it comes from, it's more likely that Junior Witter gets a shot at Floyd than Floyd fighting in the UK

i agree.....i cant see him giving up all the tax money that will be demanded of him..and it will be a LOT....compared to what he doesnt have to pay in vegas.

Even tax free it would still be crazy. If in Vegas he takes 60 million dollars a fight including his guarantee. Why would he give that up to fight in england where the biggest ppv possible gets around 1 million signups at 15 pounds. Sure they maybe would bring a larger live gate taking but he would still walk away with a fraction of what we would get in Vegas. Wlad Haye which was as big as you can get in Europe got them each 15 million

The only way he would make a similar amount of money was if the event was done at a time so it could still be PPV in the USA. I think thats what mayweather schaeffer think would happen when they say they want to do it but I guess they don't know it would be illegal here on health and safety
