As a man I feel it is always right to be able to admit when you are wrong honestly after watching the fight live I thought Mayweather almost shut Alvarez out and procceed to gloat like any sports fan would but after just watching the fight for a second time with all the anticipation gone that fight was MUCH closer than originally thought and honestly a SD for either fighter or a draw is what it should have been.

Breaking down the fight while the compubox numbers were wide in Mayweathers favor Alvarez was in every single round his body work was extremely good tonight, his combination punches were sharp even if some were just body and arm shots his activity in a lot of rounds keep Mayweather on his toes. I think for his credit though the idea Mayweather is scary or soft should officially be dead, every single time Alvarez would let loose those combos Mayweather would respond with authority. Alvarez's growth these last couple of fights is promising for his future. Now this is not to under play Mayweathers performance because Mayweathers movement and aggressiveness were incredible but I've seen Mayweather-Castillo I & II, Cotto, Hoya, Judah, Hatton and every other fight that people say was close from Mayweather and after a second look this was the most competitive opponent I've seen in the ring with Mayweather and he is the only fighter to every make me feel he has a legit argument at earning At Least a SD/Draw either way. With that said bring on Mayweather-Alvarez II next May or Sept.

Looks to me like people dont know what a scoring punch looks like and dont tell me Canelo pressured him cause thats bull mayweather had the ring generalship by fighting where he wanted to fight the entire fight. Arm punches dont count in boxing, body punches and head shots do. Canelo had one good round where you could even argue with him losing that one good round he only won the 12th because mayweather called it a night. Canelo pretty much got blanked his head was snapped back constantly with flush shots. Pretty much a sparring session for Floyd.
