Mares is a good fighter. However, Perez arguably beat him, Agbeko would've beat him if it weren't for that shady ref that allowed Mares to cheat, and Gonzalez of course knocked him out in one round. People are failing to realize that nationality and ethnicity aren't necessarily one in the same. Danny is ethnically Puerto Rican. His nationality is American. Of course, Puerto Rico is a territory of The U.S anyway. So either way, he's really American. At the end of the day though, it really doesn't matter.

 

He is born and raised in USA. A US citizen. And Puerto isnt even a country.
