Floyd has to beat this guy if he wants to be seriously considered as one of the greatest of all time.

If he fights Sergio, I will forgive all of his ducking and cherry-picking.

(*****s don't even think about denying that claim because it's so patently obvious he has, and worse, Mayweather has admitted this himself. See http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/boxin...eam-good-job-hand-picking-003809321--box.html).

If he beats Sergio, I will not only stop rolling my eyes every time Floyd or anyone else claims that he's one of the greatest, but I will seriously consider it.

Sergio hasn't looked anywhere near his best in his last couple of outings, he'd get done.

Sergio is a natural welter/jr. middleweight fighting fighting absolutely blown-up "middleweights" and getting the job done. At middleweight, fight after fight, he's been putting it on the line as the clearly smaller man, taking enormous risks, challenging himself. Damn, look at the bigger picture.

Sergio is past it and at 154 everyone will cry drained. Though I must say he definitely deserves a major payday before retirement.

160 might be taking its toll on him. I truly believe his best weight class is 154. I think the opposite. But I agree with you there that he deserves a major payday.

At his age moving all the way down to 154 is not a healthy move at all.

Agree, this fight would sell huge PPV numbers. Martinez has a green belt @ 160 and he's the champ, plus he's known. If I were Martinez I'd take an easy tune-up in Argentina against a decent opponent to get rid of that ring rust and then try to deal a fight with Floyd then maybe have a fight with 3G.

Martinez deserves a good payday. He's a meritorious fighter.

If Floyd would be agree to have this fight at 157 / 158 cw it would be great but lets not forget that Floyd's 'maximum comfortable weight' where's still sharp enough, fast and effective its around 150-151 lbs. So I think either Martinez would have to drain himself to 152-154 or Floyd would have to move up in weight which I doubt.

@ 154 the fight would be for Floyd's jr MW titles and @ 157/158/160 would be for Martinez title.

Sergio needs to take care of his own division. The man is ducking the top guys at 160.

Let's hope it's not him but the promoter DiBella. I still have a slight hope he'll agree to fight GGG

He's not ducking anyone. I assume by the top guys at 160 you are referring to Golovkin, who Martinez has said he wants to fight upon return from injury.

    Class dismissed.
