Not really, it's huge money they can't get elsewhere. Sergio was calling out Floyd, Hopkins fought DLH at a CW etc. Floyd is #1 at SWW, this guy is willing to drop to SWW, so it's really not strange at all.

It's strange to me...the guy doesn't even make the 154 limit...GGG needs to worry about Stevens first...

Not at all. These guys want to get paid. Golovkin would get at least $3MM against Floyd. The fight is a pipe dream for him, but I don't blame him for trying. Just calling out Floyd will get him recognition as well.

    no need to fight ggg
he has no name and $$$
GGG needs to fight some serious Middlweights first, build a name then call floyd out!
    who did he fight?

Instead of calling out Mayweather, when he has actually beaten no one of notice, GGG should think about fighting Lara.

They should fight at a 157 catchweight for GGGs middleweight title.

I doubt it. I think Lara is stylewise a nightmare for Golovkin. Hope this one happens in the near future.

You insist that I am making wild assumptions and chastise me when I say Rigo wanted the fight you mentioned, but you make the same assumptions about GGG wanting the Floyd fight. You say I am reading Rigo's mind, but you are doing the very same thing with GGG. Rigo actually took his fight and won it. That analogy is bogus and irrelevant.

I said Hype Jobs only take fights they know they will lose after external pressure is applied, usually from TV money men. HBO won't be pressuring GGG to fight on Showtime. I believe they are setting him up to be exposed by Andre Ward.

I never said anything about Sergio Martinez. Why are you vomiting that quote in my direction? I said GGG wants no part of Floyd at 154.

Why not just admit that you were wrong and move on with your life instead of being offensive and condescending?

You just search in youtube "golovkin mayweather" and find out what's a dream fight for golovkin, you'll be surprised.

I'm never surprised when managers and promoters do their job and get their fighter ink.

Oh gosh, mind reader. Quit doing so, don't make assumptions, and life will get better, at least it'll become real.

How do you see their styles match up?

I dont even pretend to know **** about boxing but to me it looks like Lara is too phletmatic to keep Golovkin off him and I dont think he has the footwork to stay away from Gennady. I believe Golovkin would wear him down and eventually Golovkin straps Lara in to the corner and it would be the beginning of the end.

    How you see it?
