I think the one boxer who could beat Mayweather based on what I've seen is Rigondeux. If Rigondeux could move up to 147 and win a title, would we want to see him take on Mayweather in 2015?

I am a huge Donaire fan and I hated Rigo for making my idol looked like an amateur boxer against him but I see a possibility of Rigo beating Floyd if they're of the same division granting Rigo maintain's all his speed and reflexes in the higher weight.

Rigondeux is 33. When exactly is he supposed to hit this growth spurt?

only 2 boxers on the planet could have a chance of outboxing Floyd and they are Rigo and Ward! shame none of them will ever actually step in the ring together!

He'd actually have to jump 5 divisions to fight Floyd. And I'm not sure why people think he would beat Mayweather even if they were the same size.

Marquez is even older and he moved up. It's not so hard to move up in weight, it's just hard to do it and keep your speed. Honestly I think he can move up to 147 easily enough, but would he still be world class?

He's going to have to move up to be considered a truly great fighter. He mentioned wanting to move up to chase Donaire so I don't see why he couldn't go to 147 after a couple tune ups. He just needs to be more active and fight 4-5 times a year.
He's actually a better boxer than Mayweather. The numbers reveal he's even harder to hit defensively. He doesn't really compare in terms of resume but in terms of skill he can beat Mayweather and it would be 50/50 if they were the same size. I think it would be the most dangerous fight possible for Mayweather.

But they aren't the same size. He's a bit too short and has a reach disadvantage so Mayweather would be a slight favorite.

Better pure defense on Rigo, possibly.
Offensively there is no contest, in favor of FMJ.

I don't buy saying JUST OLD anymore...it's how you take care of yourself...and how much damage you've received...RIGO has plenty left in the tank if PBF at 36 still has it

We learned that skill matters more than size, it would be a good fight. 5'5 whitaker once fought 5'11 felix trinidad.

The numbers also reveal that he lands at a lower percentage and has a worse plus/minus. And he's doing this with a much smaller sample size against a lower level of opposition. Alvarez was connecting at a very high rate going into the Mayweather fight, and had the second best plus/minus in the sport. All that went out the window against Mayweather as Mayweather maintained his normal level of effeciency.

    No in the least bit

How can he beat Mayweather? He's a counter puncher. He'd have to out think Mayweather. He hasn't nearly enough experience on the pro level to say with any certainty if he's capable of doing that.

Rigo refuses to leave 122, yet you think he's going to jump 5 divisions all the way up to 147 and be a slight underdog to Mayweather? Whatever you say.

Mayweather does not fight opponents with slick styles.
He cherry picks one dimensional fighters who just
    move forward.

Mayweather is 36. So what? Age wouldn't be a factor, just skill. Maybe Rigo couldn't take a punch and that could be a factor too.

    It would be dope

But wont happen Floyd and Bob do not wish to work with each other and do not want to help make each other any kind of money, So it wont happen

But Floyd can easliy make 140, and Rigo can do 140, :bbb
