Mayweather based on resume and accomplishments clearly isn't the best of all time but he's good enough to be mentioned with the best and reached the point where the expectations for him are so high that he is expected to match the accomplishments of great fighters like Armstrong and Duran.

Adding the middleweight title would be huge for his legacy and I for one think he is capable of it.

baldomir held portions of the championship that he won from zab. margarito was the other belt holder.

ruiz was ducked by lennox lewis (he vacated his belt to fight michael grant) and won his belt from holyfield a lot more convincingly than lewis.

No, of course not! I mean, whenever a fighter loses more fights than he wins against ATGs who started 20 pounds higher than him, are younger, and after he's already had 70+ fights, that's grounds for calling him overrated and the least out of them! Everyone on ESB knows that!

Just like everyone knows that if Floyd lost to Andre Ward that would mean that Floyd didn't deserve to be ranked with/above Ward under any circumstances.

    ;)

These kind of threads always make me laugh.

    Pre Saturday night:

Gasnelo is overrated. I had Trout winning.

    Post fight:

    Floyd is the best ever.

    :patsch:patsch

He's not the GOAT but he's ranked in the top 20. The win over Nelo was a good win, but DLH was a far better victory. Nelo was undefeated which sold the fight but he did exactly what he was expected to do with Alvarez. Even the Cotto victory meant more for his legacy based on the fact Cotto beat a lot better opposition than Nelo.

Floyd is great no doubt. Dont get clouded thonthis era of boxing is really the worst in history. There are no superstars really in boxing anymore. Which make floyd seen greater because he has all the focus. Even in the 90s u had superstars in most of the divisions like chaves de la hoya trinidad toney lewis tyson whitiker tyzu barrera morrales nazeem hamed to name a few . There really aint much now mabe 5. And no real heavys
