The guy gave his honest scores for the fight I commend him for that. People do judge fights as THEY see them & therefore discrepancies occur. No fight was more controversial that Lewis- Holyfield 1 Eugenia Williams card was ludicrous. BUT She is still judging under the name Gene Williams
I couldn't score any of the early rounds for Canelo. His best shot at this fight was trying to pressure FLoyd early on and outwork him, which he didn't. Essentially it looked like in the first 4 rounds that Canelo was trying to outbox the greatest boxer of our generation. Floyd landed the clear shots in those rounds, his left jab to the body and upstairs had him clearly winning the early rounds. After a while, I started to think that maybe Canelo was not trying too hard in the first 6 rounds of the fight just so he could ensure his stamina would be ok for the latter part of the fight. It was a terrible strategy on his teams part to think he could actually outbox FLoyd Mayweather. Someone will have to just try and land a one in a million knockout punch on Floyd in the early rounds to have a shot at beating this guy. You can't go 12 rounds with Floyd and actually think you'll beat him.
interesting scorecard, but not in the majority of what most people thought, not that press members are experts but 86-0 with an average score of 119-109 only one score was even fairly close 116-113, because boxing is a judged sport, and not what one that is determined by actual stats, there is always going to be different opinions. i personally had mayweather winning 118-112 , i havent heard one person with a scorecard with canelo on top and cj rosses card was probably the only one that didnt have mayweather actually winning the fight.
Anywhere between 116-112 and 118-110 is a reasonable scorecard. Either side of that I think you are showing bias towards a particular fighter. Just to show how some scorecards can vary so widely between the three judges they scored eight different rounds for Alvarez. Metcalfe scored rounds 2,10 and 12 for Canelo. Moretti scored rounds 3,9 and 11 for Canelo. Ross scored rounds 1 and 8 for Canelo.
ross only gave 2 rounds to canelo? meaning she only scored 2 rounds for floyd and the rest even? that actually makes sense considering most of the rounds were close and hard to score. i gave canelo 2 clear rounds and 2 close rounds w 1 round even.
Round 1 was close but I felt that Mayweather edged it. I'm not sure how you could give the 11th to Alvarez. This was a clear Mayweather round...
No she scored six 10-9 rounds for both of them. I was just showing how many different rounds between the three judges that they scored for Alvarez. Trying to show how she could have somehow come up with a draw.
This is it. I watched the fight with 3 pure mayweather haters and none of them gave Canelo even one round. One dude left after the 9th round cause he couldn't take it anymore he hates Floyd so much
