Oldest heavyweight champ Wins over Frazier (2x), Norton, Cooney, Chuvalo, lyle and Moorer as a huge underdog 2 time heavyweight champion
Frazier was great but you have to go with Big George on this one. He has a better resume in general in terms of wins(including two relatively easy wins against Joe), in a head-to-head sense there aren't many HWs in history that could deal with him at his best, and he was so good he was able to come back at an advanced age to eventually become a champion again.
Foreman and there's some daylight there imo. His resume is deeper, he holds two emphatic victories over Joe and, if it was ever in doubt, I think his comeback run separated him from Frazier.
Foreman. - Better resume - Beat Frazier twice - Longevity, he basically had 2 careers winning world title's in both. You can make a case that Foreman won world titles in arguably the two deepest periods of HW boxing.. the 70's and 90's.
Foreman for me too. All the reasons mentioned already, but I liked him better in his second run for the championship. He was a more personable man being more open to the public and a lot more comfortable being himself. He was a lot more relaxed in the ring and didn't seem to gas as much as he did when younger and lighter. I loved watching Joe Frazier fight, but his 2 losses to Big George seal the deal for me.
