    Boxing is run by money sad but true so therefor it doesn't really matter how good you exactly are when it comes to matchmaking but rather how marketable you are.

    Obviously Mike Tyson is still far more marketable than most HW's today but including him in this list is not permitted since he's not a contender and will likely never become one again...... but here goes and here's my list however right or wrong it may be.

    1. Wladimir Klitschko obviously
    2. Vitaly.... could be at number one I don't know I don't care it doesn't matter.
    3. David Haye.... not saying he's the third best HW just think he's the 3rd most marketable HW.
    4. Could it be Derrick Chisora???
    5. Thomas Adamek... if he's not #4 then he sure as s is #5.
    6. Tyson Fury
    7. Deontay Wilder
    8. Tony Thompson
    9. Artur Spilzka
    10. Sadly I believe that it's Odlanier Solis
    11. Must be Chris Arreola
    12. Seth Mitchell
    13. David Price getting into guess work here really... better not go any lower.

    Am I right?

    Good topic, but not to bust your chops you essentially put out a top 13 list.
    Forget about MT, his prime was ages ago.

    1. yes; 2. still yes even at his age; 3. yes, especially for Brits;
    4. a scrapper who'll fight anyone but not that marketable; 5. not like he was; 6. yes, has a lively personality;
    7. soft yes considering his weak comp, but he has a big punch; 8. not really, too old; 9. no; 10. not yet;
    11. yes, more so if he can get another good win, Mex-Latino factor;
    12. please, no; 13. not now, needs to start stringing some wins together.

    Not right at all. Adamek washed up, Thompson couldn't draw flies to **** even before he was mummified, spilzka? come on, solis? no, seth mitchell? hardly, david price? naw. Wilder might make some money and then lose to anybody halfway decent.

    The drop off from Klits and Haye to Fury and Arreola is huge, and the drop off from there even bigger.

    No Povetkin? Glaskov will be very marketable after he beats Adamek.

    - Kubrat Pulev is the most popular athlete in Bulgaria.

    - Wladimir Klitschko is hugely popular in Ukraine, Germany, Romania, Poland and several other countries.

    - Tomasz Adamek is very popular in Poland.

    - Alexander Povetkin is a household name in Russia.

    Thanks for not busting my chops but this would not be my top 13 list I was only putting out a list based on how marketable I think these contenders are. Any other list from me would look much differently.

    4. The ammount of exposure he got from the Vitaly and Haye fights make him very marketable. The Haye fight however probably did more damage to his reputation than it was worth. The bottom line being that if any contender signs up to fight Derrick then that will be viewed as a very very tough challange.

    5. Spot on but until he suffers another loss or two he'll have a very high value name.

    6. Yes big personality but the giants that club the small guys don't get too popular from doing so and he isn't that well known or proven yet.

    7. Getting a win vs deontay would be viewed as somewhat of an accomplishment.

    8. You're right, beating Kelvin Price twice by Ko is good but I'm overrating it.

    9. Unbeaten badbody from Poland that's gotten lots of attention from beating weak competiton.... as far as marketability goes this guy has lots of it... atleast until he loses.

    10. Yeah, Solis he's still marketable atleast for now which is exactly why Wlad was considering fighting him. How good he really is or will be the next time he has a fight is however a much much larger question that I won't attempt to answer.

    Adamek may be washed up but he can still draw. You're right about Thompson... my bad. Spilzka managed to generate shitloads of attention for fighting MIKE MOLLO!!!! and he's very well known. Any fighter who now loses to Solis gets viewed in a dim light, the fighter who changes his 1 to a 2 however will have accomplished something in the eyes of many. Those drop's are very big yes.

  10. Its David Haye and Tyson Fury, nobody gives a **** about Adamek

    You guys are right about Povetkin. Gold medal, WBA title, complete forgot about that one.... he should probably be at #4 or #5.

    I still really think Fury might would be the most marketable out of that list. Not saying I'm a fan of him or his style of just slinging punches but the public likes Brawlers over Boxers any day of the week. Plus he is still young enough to pick up some momentom in the boxing world.
