Whilst i agree Floyd would have beat Manny comfortably, i dont think he wanted this fight, i think its fairly common knowledge in the boxing world, Floyd did not want this fight.
Neither really wanted the fight but if anyone was "running" it was Floyd. Also JMM and Floyd are vastly different; boxing doesn't work like that. So the OP, go watch tennis 'cos you don't know **** about boxing.
I'm a pac fan, but floyd will dominate him, what i don't get is, floyd doesn't want to fight him, he'll make more money (canelo fight). . Floyd is not interested or he's afraid
Floyd's had "contempt" for a lot of his potential best opponents then. Funny how that works out. The man didn't want the fight, he doesn't fight for legacy. Even now, he could do something dramatic like move up and fight GGG and make a late career run(and GGG is good but no Hagler-esque beast). But that's not what Floyd's about. Floyd will fight either Danny Garcia or the Khan/Alexander winner next. And to be fair to Floyd, for most fighters around that weight those would be good fights. But since Floyd likes to call himself the best ever and is the P4P #1, the standards are higher for him.
A lot of potential opponents?People make this way too complicated he hates Pac riding his name and they will fight sooner or later but Money is going to make him crawl just stay tuned.
Pac is fighting in China and I am quite sure he aint coming close to selling 2 Million PPV, so if Pac wants the fight then Pac and his promoter, and his fans need to recognize they are the B Side
I've always said that I would have favoured Mayweather against even a peak Pac, but I think it would have been competitive. I always find it interesting how many Mayweather fans say that Pac would get completely dominated or destroyed if he faced Mayweather, and yet Mayweather himself doesn't seem so sure about that. Mayweather is a guy who is very sharp and crafty about picking opponents. With that in mind, he has shown very little interest in ever fighting Pac, and when he talks about him you get the sense that there's something about Pac that he finds threatening: 'I'm going up in weight, but I ain't just walking through no damn fighters (...) he decides to just walk through Cotto? Come on, man (...) Cotto can't knock down Mosley, but he can?' He doesn't sound like a guy who is confident of 'schooling' or dominating Pac. I think it was the Cotto fight that really did it. After that match he just decided that Pac must be on performance enhancing drugs, because the alternative (that Pac is just a very good offensive fighter) was apparently too crazy to consider. Also remember that Mayweather used to train in the same place as Cotto (or at least, Mayweather said that Cotto used to watch him train at Top Rank, so I'm assuming that they both trained there), so even before he fought him he knew what he was capable of. He has also sparred Morales before, so he knows what he can do too, and Pac KO'd Morales. (Pac knocking Mosley down clearly didn't help, either.) After all the things he's seen, I just don't think he wants anything to do with Pac, unless Pac continues to look like he's on the decline.
u guys are total clowns and buy way too much into the BS Arums been selling. ARUM WILL NOT let floyd beat up on his fighters. get a FKN clue !!! floyd tried to fight pac **** 50/50 with 14 day cutoff was going WAY out of his way to make it happen BUT arum still wouldnt let pac take it.. then he offers 40M cash for pac about 25M more than he ever made an he still says NO. now all the sudden pac requires ost for his next fight. LMFAO. all the fighters floyd supposedly "ducked" are arum puppets, ring a bell ? guys wake the F up..arum is the problem, IF arum thought pac would be competitive he would have made it due to making $$$ off a rematch too but he knows its a mismatch of epic purportions
