Vitali should retire, has anyone seen some of the recent pictures of him? He looks like he's put on some flab and looks uninterested in the sport of boxing. He's doing a Lenny by holding onto a title for the longest he possibly can. It's time for the new blood to scrap for the green belt.
it's a fan friendly stylistic match-up, hopefully the WBC gain some sense and make Stiverne vs Chisora or any of their top 10 at least an Interim, with the eventual winner facing Vitali, should he decide to keep fighting
Chisora needs to defend his European title at least 1 time before anything significant. Last night British trade mark stoppage is not enough for a title fight eliminator. Chisora v Pianeta or Boytsov is a good option. If Chisora wants better America exposure he could continue with Wilder or Jennings. Actually this is the path I like more. I don't know about that. Chisora got hurt badly last night and Gerber doesn't hit hard. So Chisora better stick with European title.
So Chisora vs. Fury II first, winner gets Stiverne, winner of that gets Vitali? I like it. Vitali vs. Chisora II is the end result of all that, I think. Vitali overcomes an even closer pitched battle (he is even older; Chisora is fit and looking improved) via close decision and retires on that high note.
fuk yeah. Chisora might never be the best but he fukin brings it. I would die to see Arreola vs chisora also=bloodbath brawl, a brutal fukin war in highest order!
Don't blow the Arreola win out of proportion. It made Stiverne look really good but much of his career before that didn't. Even the Chisora that lost to Haye and Fury, I don't think has much to worry about from Stiverne.
Well the other guy was on the ropes not throwing anything back and chisora hit him with like 10 unaswerd blows. Do you really think he would win the fight against Chisora?
The Austin fight is enough for anyone to not think much of Stiverne. I don't know what was up that night, he had no trouble with tall fighters as an amateur beating Price, Helenius x2 and that big Russian who never turned. But Adamek's whole HW ranking is based on scraping a decision against an unconditioned Arreola and most people think he'd would beat Stiverne, Chisora, Pulev and Fury. :-(
I think Chisora would have to be ranked to fight for the WBC's title. More likely Stiverne vs. Arreola 2 for the title.
Chisora is probably ranked by the next update, as the EBU-title gets you ranked with the WBC. But yeah, Stiverne - Arreola II seems more likely.
Stiverne's loss was a bad ref stoppage, and Ray Austin had a little bit of a history of making decent fighters look bad. He drew with Ibragimov who had gained a lot of attention going into their fight (though Sultan blamed McDonald's for the draw, and probably right lol) and he also beat guys like Touch of Sleep, an old ass Golota, a before he was totally shot Owen Beck and drew with Larry Donald. That concludes the first ever defense of Ray Austin, lol. In short, Stiverne, to me, fits well right under the Klitschko's, as he proved by beating Arreola. He's improved from fight to fight lately too.
Not sure he gets ranked high enough to justify him getting this shot, especially after Arreola knocked out Mitchell, but then again this is boxing land and it would obviously not surprise me at all.
