Maybe if hooper wasn't so ****y and loud mouthed, he woulda been picked up by a big promo company. Which his fighting deserves. But maybe he's too much trouble for his own worth??!

I don't think Hooper would be really that concerned with who he fights, he fought the very best amateurs in the world; Cubans, Russians, Americans, Ukrainians etc and beat most of them when he was a 17/18 year old.
I think it's more a case of his management not wanting to risk him in any tough fights, build his record up on fights that he can't really use, get him a ranking and get a payday out of him.

I may be wrong here, but this seems to be the formula that Australian boxing promoters/managers use.

It's a hard call to say that a fighter is frightened to face someone, most fighters are supremely confident in their abilities (even when they're not there) and want to test themselves.

I doubt it too. He's fought the best from all over the world as an amateur. Maybe his manager is doing that I don't know. But I have heard from a number of people involved in the sport that aussie guys just aren't interested in fighting him.

According to Dubbo show's matchmaker George Reno, to date no-one is prepared to take him on & asked he be left in schedule for another day or two.

Hopefully his management take him abroad to get him decent fights and experience that will help him if he ever gets to fight at the top level. There would be plenty of opportunities for him in the U.K.
Is he also aligned with Hatton Promotions?

I thought he was with Hatton promotions as well. If he is and they see he is not getting any fights here maybe they will take him over seas. Damian is not as bad as a lot of people make him out to be. He has played up in the past but from what I am hearing and seeing he is turning that around and hopefully he sticks to it. The kid is trying hard to do the right things so we should get behind him and not bag him just becuase you might think he has the potential to be another Mundine.
