[yt]ibdhVg6-5Mw[/yt] LOL love the Anderson Silva cameo in the background. I wish a sound effect would of came on that said "toasty" ala Mortal Kombat. All this talk of Anderson saying that him taunting is who he is and he will keep doing it makes me want him to get caught again.
Out of all the people in the world i'd want to be right now, Chris Weidman's gotta be at the bottom of the list
No, I saw him lose. I fathom the outcome of the fight just fine. I also saw him clowning around more than usual, smiling and joking in the cage MUCH more than usual. I saw him get taken down, then get back up within a minute, and then stuff the next 3 sluggish takedown attempts with relative ease. Anyone that says Weidman was "in control" of that fight is off their rocker. After the first takedown, Weidman did exactly what Anderson "allowed" him to do. Rewatch, his follow up takedown attempts were weak as Overeems chin! In my opinion, that fight showed me more that Weidman was worse than advertised, then it did anything about Anderson.
I am of the opinion that crude strikers do better against Siva than good strikers. Sonnen landed at will on Silva as these wrestlers don't have the finesse to be bamboozled by Silvas feigns and unorthodox movement. They just throw leather and do not try read his subtle tricks. If Sonnen had Weidmans power he'd have smeared Silva across the mat in their first fight. I think Chris is a slight favorite in the rematch.
Anderson got out from underneath Weidman because Chris went for a heel hook. Until that point, Anderson was laying flat on his back doing nothing. He stuffed the other takedowns because he had his hands down. He had his hands up when the fight started and he was taken down. He kept his hands down against a man with a reach advantage on him and got KO'ed. I was totally in the Anderson just ****ed up camp after the fight. But the more I watch it, the more I believe that it's a pick your poison fight for Anderson. If Anderson keeps his hands up, he won't be able to stop the takedown. But if he keeps them down, he's gonna get tagged again. Anderson is the one that's gonna have to change his approach. All Chris has to do is stay on top of Anderson. The rematch may be a very long, or very short/painfull night for Anderson
