go the european route for abit, the ebu-eu belt wouldnt be the worst way to go, win that and defend a couple of times will see him climb rankings and go from there. whatever he does he needs to get off the ropes and improve his fitness.
Could be a good fighter, stays on the ropes for far too long. Trying to be too much like Mayweather, these kids need to stop doing that.
Agree with the sentiment in this thread. Ochieng is a talented fight, stays on the ropes for far too long. Needs to work on his fitness and get on his bike and he'd be a handful.
Prizefighter and then the boxing wilderness for a few years before going back to crime and ending up on crack.
Its a shame he has absolutely no power at all... Smith didn't take a backward step in the whole fight.
He is trying to box like a carbon copy of Napa but he isn't and although not as clever/talented he knows how to avoid getting hit. If he wants to comtinue to fight this way he has to improve his fitness. Still has good potential at British level though some great scraps at light middle and welter for him. Wouldn't mind seeing Ochieng vs Vassell
Whilst I think Eric is more talented, Vassell would win off work rate cause Eric's a lazy *******, 7-5 kinda fight with Denton sweeping the last 4/5 rounds to win.
There is still a lot to come from Erick. Sometimes you learn more when you lose. one thing for sure he does up his game for the bigger fights. I know we haven't heard the last of him.
I think the way he fights is gonna mean he won't have a long career. Good chin but eats far too many punches.
I think he should have a 10 rounder against someone like O'Meara and then go the Inter-Continental route
