It was a throw away comment. A comment which worked because it made the media and still has people bringing it up.

He should carry on doing what he's doing, no rush. Having Tyson with him in the gym is nothing but great for his development.. bit of guidance, good sparring etc.

Nobody is gonna beat iron mikes record unless there his twin. Mike Just crushed anyone that was put in front of him in devastating fashion.

Darch was out on his feet as the final bell rang.

This is the kind of opponent Hughie needs in order to improve, guys like Darch who come to fight.

Patterson holds the record, he beat Tyson by a month...

As for Fury Jr, good on him for fighting regularly. He needs to be a little bit careful not to burn out ala Tony Collins, but hopefully his management know what they are doing.

I'm so sick of this -- "Hughie on a quest to become youngest champion," but if you criticize him the answer is always "He's just a lad of 18, he hasn't even started shaving."

If he and his supporters want to talk about him becoming a champion at a younger age than Mike Tyson, then surely it's fair to rate his opposition by that standard rather than if he was some grade-school boy in knickers.

Count up the losses accumulated by Hughie's opponents in just a few fights and it's over 100 already, isn't it? That's pathetic -- he's fighting paid losers. If he was 14 these guys would lie down just the same.

    Sheesh.

because i think he dad has half a brain on him and won't needlessly rush him just to break a record

I don't expect him to be sparking people he's 18 and not in physical prime or like a Tyson who was beastly for a 18 year old. He's a skillful lad who's got size but he's still carrying puppyfat and he's just getting going really.

Impressed with his mentality and his team. Onwards and upwards! today was a good win.

If you're splitting hairs. Patterson was the youngest undisputed champ, Tyson was the youngest winner of a champ belt.

Hughie isnt going to break tysons record and he knows that, he was just hyping himself to get people interested in him.

lets just let him develop and see where hes at in 18 months time

If Wlad holds all the belts its not happening. If he's gone a belt won't be that hard to win.

    Believe in the dream........man.

Mike Tyson wasn't exactly beating world contenders 10 fights in neither. It's what he does over his next 10-12 fights that counts
