New and improved. Anyone wants to talk about who they want to see the Dickinson's against, which new prospects they like etc. There is one new prospect on the scene who I rate in my former amateur opponent Danny Fleary. My only unavenged defeat as an amateur and the only defeat I really agreed with as well, he has just won his debut against a tough journeyman. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=664022&cat=boxer There is also the exciting Glenn Foot fight coming up. I have been at some of Glenn's recent fights and I really sense he is going places.
Joshua Leather is the obvious standout prospect. I hope Henry Thomas turns pro also as he was a really good fighter. Kirk Goodings is a good fighter also and could do well if managed right. Youve also got a good amateur at middlesborough abc in joseph maphosa, he beat Haroon Khan last season in the aba's. Hes only 19 so not sure when or if hes turning over but would be one to watch.
You seem to be a lot more clued in than I am mate on this area but surprised you haven't mentioned Bradley Saunders as I believe he has huge potential.
Larry's injured mate. New opponent announced on Monday. Anyone know much about Newbiggin's Lewis Scott? Light middleweight, 2 KOs from 2 fights, just turned 20 last week. This is my neck of the woods and its a shame that we are pretty much the only 'core' city (including surrounding area) that doesn't really have a current star of has had one recently: Nottingham - Froch Sheffield - Brook (Nas) Manchester - Fury, Quigg, Khan (Hatton) London - Various Cardiff - Calzaghe (heavily based there) Liverpool - Bellew, would have said Price, various decent prospects Birmingham - Gavin, Macklin
Yeah, Lewis is my nephew and i train him with his dad. Lew is totally suited to the pro game in my opinion, but still is just at the beginning of his career. He turned over, knuckled down and lives the life of which we have been trying to get him to do for some time. When he was amateur he fought above his weight but still did well. He had his first fight in may at leeds and he ko'd Martyn king from cumbria in the 2nd round, he has just stopped Costas Osben in 3, 2 weeks ago. So quite a good start.......
I have seen Bradley spar before and train a few times and of course I know him by reputation. He was a great amateur but I don't know if he has enough desire to reach the top of the pro game.
Gutted that larry has pulled out if his bout with foot as I feel foot was really gonna do a number on him as despite the hype larry is vastly over rated and foot looks the real deal. Lewis Scott looks a cracking prospect tall rangy great skills and good power, he is young so plenty of time and no rush but in 2 years he will be spencer fearons number 1 light middleweight not larry. Really think travis needs to make some big decisions as he was a genuine prospect but his career has stalled big time. Like the look of Peter cope good size and his skill set is superb but he lacks power to get beyond British level
Would be great for British boxing if the NE produced a breakthrough fighter capable of being world ranked because without a doubt that fighter would be well supported up there. You always get behind the fighters in numbers it would also be great to have more high profile shows around the country rather than London,Manchester & Liverpool. To add areas Hull have Luke Campbell who will be very well supported his pro debut did amazing ticket sales as well as a good card (9,000) a real untapped area as well.Frampton N.Ireland massive fan base as well.
Lewis has a cracking following too, he sold over 140 tickets for his last fight. There is twice as many going to his next fight on november 1st at the fed brewery's so should be a good atmosphere as well as a good drink in my brothers bar after. (sunlight on way home, haha

Is that date and venue confirmed? Wraith show? At least he is giving the young prospects a platform as it wasn't long since his last show. That will likely be related to his tweet yesterday about big news.
Yes it is Paullow, I'm not sure who else is on yet, i think Chris Eubank is going to be there. Must be doing a dinner do or something.
